Abstract
Purple sweet potato is known to have health benefits for the human body, because it has the highest anthocyanin content (at 21.43 mg) compared to other tubers. Anthocyanin functions as antioxidants. Purple sweet potato can be consumed in various forms of processing, one of the innovations is ice cream. The purpose of this study was to determine the benefits of purple sweet potato (Ipomea batatas L.) in making ice cream on physical properties (overrun and texture), organoleptic, anthocyanin and antioxidant content and to know the best formulations. The study was conducted at the end of October 2018 at the Laboratory of Engineering, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Semarang University for 4 months. The ingredients used as raw material for ice cream are local purple sweet potato with a harvest age of 4 months, full cream milk powder with up to 11% fat content, refined sugar, and whipping cream. The materials used for the analysis are aquadest, H2SO4 pa, HCl 0.1 N. The tools used in this study are the Tanita KD-160 digital scale, the Ohaus Paj 1003 analytical scale, Miyako blender, refrigerator (Brand Sharp), Ice Cream Maker, gas stove, mixer, spoon, pan, stirrer, basin, freezer in the refrigerator, LLOYD Texture Analyzer, beaker glass (Brand Pyrex), pyrex measuring cylinder, pyrex funnel. The design used in this study was completely randomized design (CRD) unidirectional pattern consisting of 5 treatments with 4 replications, while the treatment factor was the the difference in the ratio of sweet potato dough to water, as follows: P1: 50%: 50%; P2 : 60%: 40%; P3: (70%: 30%); P4: (80%: 20%); P5: 90%: 10%. Observation variables: water content, overrun, anthocyanin and antioxidant activity. The data were analyzed using SPSS software version 23.0. If there is a difference due to treatment, it was continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) (Steel and Torrie, 1995 in Santoso, 2017). The results showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P <0.05) on average water content, overrun and anthocyanin activity. Average water content was P1: 75.21%; P2: 73.63%; P3: 71.38%; P4: 66.55% and P5: 64.80% respectively. Average overrun was P1: 24.18%; P2: 24.87%; P3: 28.04%; P4: 33.25% and P5: 34.92% respectively. The average anthocyanin content was P1: 17.50 ppm; P2: 36.39 ppm; P3: 40.49 ppm; P4: 40.64 ppm and P5: 40.27 ppm respectively. The treatment did not have significant effect (P> 0.05) on the average antioxidant activity. The average antioxidant activity was P1: 14.21%; P2: 20.01%; P3: 23.79%; P4: 26.44% and P5: 31.65% respectively. Conclusion: the ratio of purple sweet potato dough had significantly effect (P <0.05) on water content, overrun and anthocyanin content, but it did not significantly influence (P> 0.05) on antioxidant activity.

Abstract
This study aims to: 1) analyze the productivity level of jasmine flower and 2) analyze the factors that influence the development of jasmine flower commodity in Batang Regency. The research method was carried out by survey and observation methods. Determination of the research location was selected by purposive sampling, based on the potential of the sub-districts that develop jasmine flower agribusiness, namely Kandeman and Batang sub-districts. Farmers were taken quota sampling, 63 farmers. Primary data collection is done by interviewing based on the prepared questionnaire. While secondary data is taken from the Office and other agencies related to research problems. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and statistically. The level of productivity of jasmine flowers was analyzed based on average land area and production, while the factor analysis of jasmine flower agribusiness development was analyzed by multiple linear regression models with the dependent variable (Y) is jasmine flower production and independent factors consisting of farmers age (x1), education ( x2), family dependents (x3), business experience (x4), land area (x5), cropping pattern (x6), land status (x7), production destination (x8), production period (x9), selling price (x10). The results showed that the average land area was 0.499 ha/farmer with production of 2,793.86 kg/year, or productivity of 5,598.92 kg/ha. Taken together the factors (x1) to factor (x10) have a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the development of jasmine flower agribusiness, while partially the factors that influence are land area (P<0.01) and the selling price of jasmine flower (P<0.10). These results indicate that the development of jasmine flower agribusiness needs to pay attention to technical, social and economic factors.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the consumers- intention to purchase the organic vegetable product in Semarang City, Central Java Province. Primary data were collected using the list structured questionnaire from 150 consumers as respondents. Determination of respondents samples is done by accidental sampling method. Data collection was carried out from July to September 2018. In order to analyze the consumer intention to purchase, a survey with 150 respondents was conducted in Semarang City. Firstly, the factor analysis is used to identify the possible variables influence the consumers- intention to purchase organic vegetable production. Furthermore, the logistic regression is employed to examine the significant relationship between the influence factors to the consumers- intention to buy. The result showed that there were 4 main factors that will influence the acceptance of consumer toward organic vegetable product which were consumer awareness, the motive to consume, consumer knowledge and consumer perception. Then, the factor score for these four identified factors was applied to the binary logistic regression and to examine the significant factors influence the probability of consumer-s intention to purchase the organic vegetable products. The binary logistic regression showed that consumers- negative awareness, positive motive to buy and age have significantly significant a 5% significance level.

Abstract
The Internet of things is the new paradigm in the way of the human live result of telecommunication and information technology improvement. That-s paradigm also influences the agriculture sector. Currently, many agriculture apps are introduced in playstore apps by some startup companies. At list 16 apps are recognized in the android platform such as TaniHub, Igrow, Regopantes and etc. Each of them contains usefull information regarding cultivation tips, product price and experience sharing. Many apss provide an up tp date price of the agriculture product such as vegetable and fruit. It connects a farmer and buyer, thus the customer can buy the product diretcly. It called e-commerce. That-s idea aims to erase the long terms distribution because of Tengkulak role. Tengkulak is a person who buys the farmer product directly and on a vast scale. The problem is tengkulak usually buy that product in the lower price compare to market price. Even though the farmer obtains a small benefit or even loss, they still encash it because they have no market option. Toward agriculture apps, the startup developer attempt to solve this problem. In the other hand, the bond between tengkulak and farmer is not an ordinary bond between seller and buyer. In some place such as in Demak Regency, the tengkulak involve in the social structure because they are recognized as an elder in the community such as tetua desa, head of the village moreover religion leader. The other problem is not of all farmers have the capacity and knowledge to operate the apps. These phenomena result in the failure of e-commerce goal in price control. However, in the other condition where the farmer has their own community company such as koperasi tani, the app successfully improved the farmer revenue because of direct sale at a decent price. The koperasi has a significant role to manage the farmer product and promote them trough apps or digital marketing.

Abstract
Food production needs to be increased by 70% to provide food in 2050. However, agricultural activities contribute to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of approximately 5% of national GHG emissions. The main greenhouse gas emissions from the agricultural sector are CH4, which is 67% of total agricultural emissions, followed by N2O (30%) and CO2 (3%) The development of food crops combined with livestock is one of an efficient carbon farming system. An efficient carbon farming system is an agricultural system that optimally uses carbon contained in crop residues and livestock waste as a source of organic material. The system can provide added value to increase land and plant productivity, farmer income, energy efficiency, and reduce GHG-s emission. The study was conducted to obtain GHG-s emissions (CH4 and N2O) on food crops to support carbon efficient farming systems. This research was carried out at the Sukamandi Rice Center in the rainy season of 2013. Long-term fertilization treatments were observed in NPK fertilizer and Organic Material (OM) plots while varieties were observed in Ciherang, Situ Bagendit, and Inpari 30. CH4 and N2O emissions from each plot in 3 replications were taken four times (6 November 2013, 13 November 2013, 20 November 2013 and 27 November 2013). The results showed that OM treatment emitted CH4 of 36.77 kg CH4 ha-1season-1 was lower than NPK treatment, and NPK treatment emitted N2O by 0.68 kg N2O ha-1season-1 lower than OM treatment. For the treatment of Inpari 30 variety emitted of 27.73 kg CH4 ha-1season-1 lower than the Ciherang and Situ Bagendit variety while Situ Bagendit variety emitted N2O of 0.85 N2O ha-1season-1 lower than the Ciherang and Inpari variety. 30.

Abstract
Biotechnology within the agricultural sector, primarily refers to genetic modification technology. Nowadays, breakthroughs in the genetic modification (GM) crops have expanded regarding fulfilling the food, fuel and fibre consumption. More food needed for human rapid population growth. Moreover, the quality of food related to nutrition content also needs to be developed This article was explained the status of biotechnology in Indonesia compared to Australia by collecting the published article from the academic portals. It was found that the global status of the biotech crop was varied in several countries. Australia was at great in the area coverage of the biotech crop, with cotton and canola as the biotech crop grown in Australia. At the farm level in Australia, transgenic Bacillus thuringensis (Bt) cotton gives a major impact on Australian farm by controlling the pest. Indonesia has been introduced with Bt cotton as biotech. The Bt cotton seed supplied by Monsanto. But Monsanto stops the supplying seed at 2002 and shut down by 2003. In 2000 to 2002, bt cotton in Indonesia was unsuccessful due to complain the yield and pricing, moreover, that bt cotton against Environmental Management Law No. 23/1997. There are several GMO plants have received food, feed, and/or environmental safety certificates from the government of Indonesia such as corn tolerant insect, sugarcane tolerance in drought, improve soybean nutrition, etc.. However, due to incomplete biosafety assessments, there is no imported or locally developed GMO plants have yet been commercialized. While the approval is still in process, there are some developing GM crops research in Indonesia such as rice with Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE), drought tolerant rice, salinity tolerant rice, planthopper resistance rice, sugarcane drought tolerant, and another crop. Related to food safety, it is debatable about safety issue on GM crop due to the possibility of allergic reaction to new protein form from the GM crop. Then, the issue of unskilled and low knowledge farmer of GM crop contributes to social damage such as suicides cotton farmers in India. Sustainability in agriculture relates to the development of agriculture. It means economic, social and environment cannot be distinguished apart. Besides an economic impact due to obtaining the great yield, biotechnology can play a role to protect the natural resources by applicating to the infertile land, minimize the nitrogen usage; then, biotechnology contributes to reducing the pesticides usage and increasing the human health by preventing malnutrition. The challenges to develop biotechnology comes from the consumer-s perspective on the side effect of the biotech product, lack of the government regulation, high cost to produce the biotechnology product. Abstract
Among food crop commodities, corn has become a central consideration in relation to national economy;however, massive domestic demand has been supplied by exported one, as most farmers still apply conventional cultivation. The objective of this literature review was to describe the implementation of integrated crop management of corn in supporting sustainable agriculture leading to increased productivity of corn. That most farmers rely on using excessive pesticide and fertilizer has caused fertile soil degradation leading to the decrease of production. Meanwhile, research findings showed that the implementation of integrated crop management of corn was able to increase production of corn by at least 10% compared to those of farmers-. Therefore, the suggestion proposed is that the integrated crop management of corn should be disseminated in a scale that every farmers might be able to adopt it.

Abstract
Rainfed rice fields are one of the potentials that have not been utilized optimally for farming, especially food crops (rice, maize and soybeans). Rainfed paddy fields are suitable to be considered in supporting self-sufficiency of rice, maize and soybeans, although there are many limiting factors in this agroecosystem such as unpredictable rainfall, low soil fertility and existence of weeds. On the basis of food crops with planting system of rotating time (soybean-rice-maize) and relatively narrow ownership/cultivation of paddy fields, farmers income is still low. One of agricultural system that can be developed in rainfed rice fields is integrated system of food crops farming (rice, corn and soybeans) with beefcattle. Integrated system of food crops and cattle is agricultural system inherited from ancestors (indigenous knowledge) that needs to be preserved for next generation. This system needs to be developed both in terms of technology and management according to local environmental conditions (specific to location). Integrated system of food crop and livestock zero waste is an improvement of integrated system of food crop and livestock and an alternative in effort to increase level of fertility of rainfed rice fields, production/productivity of food crops, cattle and farming income. Utilization of agricultural waste is used as production input (feed) for cattle and cattle livestock waste (manure, urine and feed waste) can be used as production inputs (organic fertilizer) for food crops. Furthermore, this can improve the efficiency of food crop farming and cattle. The objective of this study is to implement innovative system of integrating food crops (rice, maize and soybean) and zero-wastecattle beef breeding specific to location in order to increase the productivity of rainfed rice and farmer income. This study was carried out at Livestock Farmers Group of Loh Jinawi III in Boloh village, Toroh sub-district, Grobogan district in 2016 to 2018. This study was conducted by implementing several supporting technologies of integrated system of food crop and livestock zero waste, involving (1) technology of food crop cultivation (rice, maize and soybeans) to increase productivity, (2) beef cattle breeding technology through feed improvement and (3) technology of plant waste process for livestock feed and organic fertilizer. Integrated system of food crop farming and livestock zero-waste was feasible to be developed technically, financially and socially feasible in order to increase the productivity of rainfed rice fileds.

Abstract
Abstract Extensive shrimp aquaculture facing serious problems with disease, mainly due to biosecurity implementation. Impair of biosecutiry implementation affect on transmission of pathogen, especially virus cant be prevented. Occation of disease outbreak in area of extensive shrimp farm operation have many often been observed. One pond get pathogen infected, very fast transmitted to whole shrimp ponds in that area. Mangemant especially a simple technology is required to prevent futher disease spread. Studies was carried out on extensive pond area, emphasized on creating water quality management with least cost input. Improvement was done by reconstruct tradisional ponds contruction, that usually large size of more than 1 ha/pond become to small size of 500 m2-1000 m2 in size. Design and lay out of pond is composed a treatment ponds, or reservoir to improve quality of water and pathogen infect . Using of aeration to maintain optimal dissolve of oxygen. Results of the study improve shrimp production up to 500 kg - 800 kg per pond (10-16 tons/hectare). The size shrimp at harvest was 60-70 kg/shrimp. Cost production per kg of shrimp was calculated from Rp 35,000 - 37,000,/kg. Price at selling of shrimp was IDR 60,000 - 65,000/kg then profit per kg shrimps was IDR 28,000.

Abstract
Sea bass (Lates carcarifer) has been raised in brackish water as well as freswaeter ponds and marine cages. The increasing demand of bigger size jevenile is the consequecy of rapid expanding of open sea cage culture. Juvenile production in Resiculation Aquaculture System (RAS) was tested to meet the demand of approximately 100 g of fish. RAS was set-up using numerous component such as settlement tank, physical filtration, biofilter and pure oxygen injection. Result indicated that daily growth rate was 1.21 gram with final body weight of 122 gram and survival rate of 94,3 %. Water quality was in range of acceptable value execpt dissolved oxygen that fluctuated from 3 ppm to saturated.

Abstract
Rural area has characteristics that are specialized in the agricultural sector. One of the challenges of agriculture in rural area is the demographic challenge. Agricultural sector is dominated by the elderly population and do not have successors because young population has an interest in migrating out of the village to work in other sectors. Even though the village actually has adequate resources. The participation of all elements in rural community in agricultural development is very important. Youth as part of the rural community should be the pioneer in the rural agricultural development. Nglanggeran Village, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta is one of the villages that experienced in youth empowering for rural development. Young people become local champions in developing agriculture in Nglanggeran village. This study aims to analyse the role of youth in developing agriculture in Nglanggeran village. This study uses qualitative methods with interviews as a method of data collection. This study shows the findings in agricultural development practices carried out by Nglanggeran youth in the form of innovations in on-farm and off-farm and agro-tourism development. This study also shows factors that led to the active role of youth in agricultural development in Nglanggeran.

Abstract
Temanggung district is the largest coffee producing in Central Java with a total production 40% from the total Central Java coffee production. However, there are still many Temanggung farmers who have not applied cultivation in accordance with the Geographical Indication due to several social and economic factors. This study aims to determine farmers adoption of coffee production methods based on the Geographical Indication of Temanggung Robusta Coffee, to analyze the relationship between factors that influence adoption with adoption of coffee production methods based on Geographical Indications and to plan strategies for developing coffee commodity farmers in Temanggung Regency. This research was conducted with an interview survey with 60 coffee farmers in Temanggung Regency spread across three coffee producing sub-districts, namely Candiroto, Kandangan and Wonokerso sub-districts. This research uses rank spareman correlation as the unit of analysis. The results of this study indicate that coffee farmer cultivation is good, but there are still many farmers who have not applied coffee cultivation based on the geographical indication of Temanggung Robusta Coffee in the stage of good pruning and fertilization due to various social and economic factors. This has an impact on the quality of coffee harvested by farmers so that the prices received are low and other problems arise, namely the narrow marketing of coffee farmers due to the quality that has not been properly sorted. Strategies in developing coffee commodities in Temanggung Regency will be discussed later in this journal.

Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of biogas waste on the growth of coffee plant seeds. The biogas waste used is from cows that get feed from red picking coffee waste. The research was conducted from July to December 2013 in Banaran Village, Kec. Ambarawa Kab. Semarang. This research was carried out by experimental experiment method using RAK (Randomized Group Design) 1 factor, which is giving biogas waste at 3 given levels at 14 days intervals. The treatment tried was P1 = 250 ml biogas waste / plant, P2 = 500 ml biogas waste / plant, and P3 = 750 ml / plant biogas waste, and P4 = PTPN fertilizer control. The parameters observed were plant height, number of shoots, number of leaves, and leaf area. The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variety Anova. if there is a difference followed by the Smallest Significant Difference (LSD) test. The results showed that the best treatment was the administration of 250 ml of biogas / plant waste.

Abstract
Grobogan as the main area to produce soybean in Central Java and Indonesia face a problem to increase the soybean production. Unstable price which caused by undifferentiated between GMO and Non-GMO Soybean as the main factor for the farmer to consistently cultivate the soybean. So, it is required the new method to consistently producing soybean in Grobogan Regency. This research focused on the efficiency of relay crops method of soybean with maize and horticulture commodities to increase the production of soybean in Grobogan Regency. The research from 2017-2018 has shown that this method gave many advantages to the farmers. So, this method potentially will be a future method to consistently increasing the soybean production in Grobogan Regency.

Abstract
Parakan, Temanggung Regency is an inland region in Central Java which-s well-known as a center of nature products especially for agriculture and plantation crops since the Dutch colonial era. Now, this activities has led to the emergence of foward linkage, namely industrialization, especially for agroprocessing activities. Based on the Parakan statistical data, in 2009 the regional economic structure has shifted to the industrial sector as highest contributor for regional income leaving the agricultural sector and the commercial sector which had already become a former driving force for regional economic development. It can be observe directly related to physical and non-physical developments, especially the industries in Parakan, which-s dominated by large to small scale agroprocessing industries like timber, food and snack, craft, etc. In the context of regional, all developmental elements always be related to another in axial and interaxial interaction, dependency and interdependence, so they will influence each other (Yunus, 2010). Therefore, this study will discuss the related impact from the growth of industrial agroprocessing phenomenon in Parakan to the regional economic and social characteristics. Using descriptive and spatial analysis with quantitative and qualitative data collected from field questionnaires, stakeholder interviews, and review of Parakan-s statistical documents 2005 -2015 are expected to produce detailed explanations and comprehensive understanding for this phenomenon. It-s hoped this study can enrich knowledge related to regional development especially industrialization as well as the development of its activities in specific areas with more specific regional impacts including supporting systems, employment, income, lifestyle and communities.

Abstract
The land is a vital resource for human life. In order to built the food security and ensure food provision, the government of Indonesia enacted the law number 41 year 2009 about The Sustainable Agricultural Land Protection. Furthermore, this law embedds several other means upon the existence of farmland and reason it to be protected. These various embedded functions put agriculture as a multifunctional agriculture. This concept is a development concept which acknowledge that the agriculture sector serves various functions other than to produce commodity. By analysing the body content of the law, this research recognise 11 functions that the protection is trying to address. Furthermore, this present research is trying to find the empirical evidence that the 11 functions addressed by the law exist in the society and explore the utilization of these functions as a policy implementation approach. Employs an open questions of questionnaire, the evidence is collected through a survey conducted in the Demak District, the Demak Regency and targeting 238 respondents. Using descriptive and cross tabulation analysis, this research found that altough the economic motive is substantial, the majority of the society acknowledges and practises the 11 multifunctionality in their farming activities unknowingly. Moreover, by an adequate education and empowerment, the society, particularly farmers, may understand their role in the farmland protection. Thus functions aimed by the sustainable agricutural land protection may be succesfully realized.

Abstract
Most farmers in Japan have joined in farmer-s cooperative that is Japan Agricultural Group (JA Group). The role of JA is very important in improving Japanese farmer well-being. Basically, JA collectively purchase the materials necessary for agricultural production and market agricultural products, also involved in a wide range of business activities. Hence, this study aim to explore the marketing strategies that were conducted in four places of agricultural promotion in Minami-uonuma City Niigata Prefecture and Obuse Town, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. This is descriptive qualitative research, data were collected by field study, interview with key informant and documentation. The key informants are the manager of the organization and official government. Collected data are presented descriptively. The result show that basically Japan Government and JA group have good collaboration to market farmer-s product regarding four important aspects: first, developing marketing centers that integrated with local resources such as Michino Eki, Agripark Yairo, Obuse Town. In these spots, farmers can sell their products fresh and processed directly to consumers and have strong power to determine the prices of their products. Second, increasing both quality and continuity of products is an important priority (freshness and use of chemicals are very strictly regulated). Third, promoting their product in many aggressive ways such as online, social media, brochure, leaflet, events, and always update information about their product.
