Abstract
The micro-cracks that commonly occur in concrete structures are a potential source of crack propagation which leads to the possibility of catastrophic failure. Concrete cracks that occur propagating mainly along the interface zone that significantly conditioned by aggregate characteristics. Aggregate characteristics as concrete fillers have a significant role as a strain energy release medium known as fracture energy. This research is using an experimental investigation about the fracture characteristics of concrete using different gradations with a maximum diameter of 25 mm and 20 mm. The experiment includes a compressive strength test and a fracture parameter test. Three-point bend test was selected based on RILEM recommendations to calculate fracture parameters. The result has shown that the aggregate gradations used in concrete mixtures should take into account the effect on compressive strength and total fracture energy.

Abstract
Nowadays, the climate change has resulted in extreme weather events. This change happens because of the effect of global warming. One of the main factors is the carbon emissions that have exceeded the permitted limits. Many countries in the world have taken a significant action by making some commitments to fix it. One of the commitments is to give a penalty for the cost of emissions produced by a country or company. In this study, we developed an integration model between inventory and multimodal land transportation by focusing on the costs of emissions produced. To distribute products from several suppliers to several consumers, we proposed train as long distance transportation mode and truck as short distance transportation mode. The purpose of this study is to find the best solution for total system costs. The total cost consists of operational costs and emissions costs. From numerical experiments, the carbon tax rate affects the amount of carbon emissions and the total cost. The trade-off between emissions and costs will produce an optimal solution. In addition, it can be seen the impact of tax to the other decision variables such as inventory and transportation. The method used in finding the optimal condition is Mixed Integer Linear Programming.

Abstract
Biogas production from various organic wastes such as corn stover can be used as an alternative fuel. Corn stover is one of the agricultural wastes that are widely generated in Indonesia. It contains cellulose which has the potential to be used as raw material for producing biogas. The biogas production process was carried out in solid-state anaerobic digestion (SS-AD), i.e., a biological process that occurs naturally by a microorganism that breaks down molecules of organic material with a total solid content greater than 15%. This research aimed to investigate the effect of EM-4 concentration on biogas yield. The volatile solids (VS) reduction was also measured in this study. The results of the study showed that EM-4 concentration had a significant effect on biogas yield (p < 0.05). The positive linear relationship was found between EM-4 concentration and biogas yield. The highest biogas yield of 597.98 L/kg VS was obtained at EM-4 15%. The main source of biogas production during SS-AD of corn cob was the reduction of VS.

Abstract
Failure of concrete in the environment which containing sulphate causes damage to the cement bonds in the concrete. One of environment that contains sulphate is peatlands. Peat water has a low acidity (pH) and causes the water to be acidic. The acidic environment will slowly damage the concrete starting from the edges and corners of the concrete with the release of granules of concrete particles so that the concrete becomes porous. To reduce the damage, used mineral additives in the form of Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) on Type II Cement. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of using variations of GGBFS as an additives on Portland Cement Type II on compressive strength of high quality concrete and the optimum variation percentage using GGBFS as additives on Portland Cement Type II. This research outlines divided into several stages, i.e. material testing, manufacturing of test specimens, testing of test specimens and analysing test results. This research used a cylindrical specimen with 4 variations of the mixture that is normal concrete, concrete with the addition of 2 % ,4%, and 6% GGBFS by the weight of cement with a concrete age of 7, 14, and 28 days. Also, the treatment of specimens is carried out using peat water. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the effect of using a GGBFS addition as an additives can increase the compressive strength of concrete from normal concrete, however it decreases with the addition of 2% GGBFS and 6% GGBFS at the age of 7 days amounting to -14.62 % and -3.47 %. The optimum variation percentage is concrete with the addition of 4% GGBFS which produces compressive strength of 40.90 MPa and the minimum variation is concrete with the addition of 0 % (normal concrete) which produces compressive strength of 33.82Mpa.

Abstract
Subgrade is part a road pavement structure designed to accept vehicle loads on it. Therefore must have an optimal carrying capacity and be able to accept the load due to traffic without experiencing significant changes or damages. The increase of heavy vehicle passing the main road cause damage on the pavement surface, such as rutting. For this reason, soil improvement is needed in order to obtain a stable subgrade to increase the performance of the pavement structure. The effort of stabilizing the subgrade soil of expansive clay has been conducted by various stabilizer, such as limestone, cement-fly ash, pozzoland material and others. One of stabilizer materials that can be used as an additive material is phosphoric acid, meanwhile other alternative material for phosphoric acid mixture is coconut shell ash. Soil sample is taken from Gedebage region and the test result on the soil is categorized as expansive soil category. In a soil stabilization with the mixture of 8% coconut shell ash + 10.5% phosphoric acid within 0 day of caring period can increase the carrying capacity of the soil and reduce damage due to fatigue cracking and grooves (rutting) which can improve the performance of flexible pavement structures.
