Abstract
This paper aims to understand how speakers of Routa language retain their language, a language of the marginalized in Routa sub-district, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. Routa language has long been in the category of ‘language at risk-, because the realm of its use is limited and the number of speakers is smaller than the other languages that exist in the community. The language even gets into the endangered category (disappearing) when viewed from the perspective of the dwindling number of native speakers from generation to generation. Currently, Routa language is not passed on by the older to the younger generation, so in this situation, the language can also be categorized as a language that is in mortal danger (moribund). This study applied ethnographic and sociolinguistic approaches by applying several methods of collecting relevant data such as participant observation, questionnaires, interviews and focus group discussions. The results of this study indicate that the competition of the local languages that occur in the region has led to a dramatically decreased use of Routa as the speakers switch to using other local languages such as Tolaki, Bugis and Toraja. Routa speakers only use the language in a restricted environment only within the family of three generation.

Abstract
This paper discussed the naming nomenclature of the State Elementary School in Kendari which was initially based on territorial. However, through the Peoples Representative Council and Kendari City Government regulations, the naming of elementary school is no longer based on zoning. This name change, at first glance, is very easy to mention because it only mentions from 1 to 106 in the city of Kendari. However, saving problems later on, especially for parents and the local community because it is related to the collective knowledge received. In addition to eliminating historical and cultural values on the establishment of certain SDNs, there is also a cultural shock that tends to be biased. At first glance, it is easy to remember because only numbers 1,2,3 and so on but at the same time a generation or community who understands well the name of a certain elementary school based on sub-district which was suddenly changed by numbering would certainly have difficulty finding the location of the elementary school. This research was a qualitative descriptive study. Data was collected through the Peoples Representative Council of Kendari regulations and confirmation to several communities related to the change of name on the SDN to be then analyzed properly. The hypothesis was the change in the name of the elementary school in Kendari, some accept it and some reject it, even eliminates the local historical and cultural values.

Abstract
The starting point of this article is that the extinction of a particular language will lead to simultenuous loss of various forms of its cultural heritage, especially with regard to the loss of both traditional heritage and oral expressions of its native speakers. Native Papuans are those from the Melanesian race speaking native languages in the Province of West Papua – the ones living in a physical ecology of mostly island clusters, black, and spread throughout the region. In line with current language policy to preserve local languages in Indonesia, it is important to provide valid data on local languages in Indonesia. The findings of the investigation on the local languages in the Province of West Papua are as follows. The local languages in the province can be divided into four language groups: (1) The phylum of Austronesia; (2) the phylum of West Papua; (3) the phylum of the Birds Head of Papua; and (4) The phylum of Trans- West Papua. Those four groups can fall into another two categories of Austronesian and Non-Austronesian. Based on the characteristics of the social environment of the languages, most native languages in the Province of West Papua can be categorized as those having less than 1,000 speakers. Languages having less than 500 speakers are endangered as they are close to extinction. Language codification in the West Papua are based on: (1) the typology of language ecolology; (2) Summer Institut of Linguistics (SIL) database; (3) The Republic of Indonesia-s Language Development and Fostering Agency database.

Abstract
Abstract This article discussed the changing of the representation of nobility in the novel Merpati Kembar di Lombok. The changing of the representation was discussed in the context of representation politic conducted by the regime. This article explained the changing of representation from nobleman to jajar karang. In explaining the changing of representation, this article used representation theory which combined two approaches, namely semiotic approach and discursive approach. The finding showed that the character of Lale Erna, a noble woman, tried to escape from the nobility tradition. Lale Erna with her perspective saw that human was not valued by the nobility and social status, but by the obedience to God. That perspective which made her to illegally marry Suparman, a man who was jajar karang, an ordinary person. At first, (the marriage) Lale Erna and Suparman was not accepted by Mamik Marhaban. Yet, finally both of them were well accepted. Lale Erni, Erna-s sister, who married to Hartono was initially accepted, but in the end it turned differently, full of hatred. The acceptance of Suparman as the child was the acceptance of jajar karang. Therefore, jajar karang represented the nobility. The nobility keris was inherited by Suparman. It showed that the representation of nobleman was not the nobleman anymore, but jajar karang.

The data source of this paper was taken from a new simplified edition novel published online in 2015 by E-Pen Book Publisher Company, Inc. on their own site, which the original version was written by a very famous author, Victor Hugo, entitled Les Miserables. Then the data are analyzed based on the theory of character. Based on the result of the analysis, there are three kinds of dimensions found in Hugp-sLes Miserables, which are Physiological Dimension, Psychological Dimension and Sociological Dimension. The physiological part of the dimensions relates to the physics of the character in the story. The psychological dimension relates to the attitude and the behavior of the main character, while, the sociological dimension can be seen through the main character-s social class.
