Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students critical thinking skills. The subjects in this study were 101 students of class XI at SMAN 8 Mataram. This type of research is a quasi-experimental. A test consisting of 5 problems is used to collect experimental data. Five indicators of critical thinking are studied: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, and explanation. The results showed that the PDC (Preparing Doing Concluding) model was able to improve students critical thinking skills on each indicator of critical thinking skills.
