The Free Shipping Strategy on E-Commerce Websites on Consumer Buying Intention and Product Sales Boost

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to identify consumers desire or intention in buying products from e-commerce websites, and the benefits of the free shipping tricks to boost the consumer desire to buy. Data collection was carried out during a survey experiment by writer in order to measure the free shipping impact of e-commerce websites. Writer visited several different e-commerce websites that sell the exact same item and implemented free-of-charge shipping strategy and those who are not. Data analysis shows significant effect of free shipping trick that boosts consumers desire to buy the item. Less positive feedback were given by participants who visited websites that do not apply free shipping trick.
