Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the effect of ab mix nutrient on growth and yield of Pak choi (Brassica chinensis L.) plants under hydroponic wick system condition. The experiment was conducted in non factorial completely randomized design (CRD), 3 replications of five levels concentration of ab mix (0, 650, 1300, 1950, 2600 ppm). Each replication consist of 6 plants, therefore there were 90 plants observed. The parameters observed were plants height, number of leaves and width, fresh and dry weight, harvest index, and root volume. Data was analyzed by using one way ANOVA, and DMRT as follow up. The result showed effect of ab mix on 1) plants height, 2) number of leaves 3) leaf width 4) fresh weight 5) dry weight 6) harvest index, but none on root volume. The best ab mix concentration for parameters of number of leaves (18.78 leaves), leaf width (47.32cm2), fresh weight (33.57gr), dry weight (2.40gr) and harvest index (99.15percent) was in 1950 ppm. The best ab mix concentration for parameters of plants height (8.71cm) was in 2600 ppm.
