Patient falls prevention is one of the important safety aspect which should be done since patient falls become risk incidence in the inpatient room. The implementation of patient safety in the hospital is influenced by nurses- behavior. Nursing supervision gives a big impact to improve nursing quality patient safety and improve the nurses satisfaction in working. The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation between nursing supervision and nurses- behavior in doing patient falls prevention. This study employed analytical correlational design with cross sectional approach. The population of this research was all nurses in the regular inpatient room of Mangusada Hospital. There were 113 respondents recruited as the sample which were chosen by using total sampling technique. The data were collected by using nursing supervision questionnaire and nurses- behavior observation sheet. The data were analyzed by using Spearman rho test. The result of the study showed that there was a significant correlation between nursing supervision and nurses- behavior in implementing patient falls prevention with p-value = 0.001. The conclusion of this study is the better nursing supervision carried out by the head of the room, the better behavior of the nurses. Therefore, it is expected that the supervisor can maintain and do good supervision so it can influence nurses- behavior in implementing patient falls prevention to improve the quality of nursing services in hospital.
