Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still one of the main public health problems in Indonesia is no exception in the DIY region. The number of sufferers and the extent of the spreading area increases with the increasing mobility and population density. Until now, the eradication of dengue disease is still focused on vector control of the disease is Aedes spp. mosquito. This study aims to mosquito resistance status. against organophosphate group insecticides in non-endemic areas of DHF in DIY. The research will be conducted during June-October 2017. Egg sampling and mosquito larvae will be done in Kelurahan Panjatan, Panjatan Sub-District, Kulon Progo Regency. In addition, also observed the characteristics of the mosquito breeding places. Egg and larvae samples obtained were then kept in the laboratory until they became adult mosquitoes and then tested their resistance status against organophosphate insecticides with biochemistry method. The results obtained are mosquito resistance status in Panjatan Village, Panjatan Sub-district, Kulon Progo District is 66.67% highly sensitive in dusun 1, 50% high resistant in dusun 2, 66.67% medium in dusun 3, 100% very sensitive in dusun 4 and 100% resistant medium in dusun 5. So, it can be important for society and government in overcoming the existing Highly resistance mosquitoes.
