Abstract

The purpose of this research was to obtain information about the best quality of bioplastic fruit packed using kombucha cellulose which grow in green tea media (Camellia sinensis L.). This research was carried out with a trial method of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 5 arrangements with 4 replications and a total sample of 20. By administering 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and 5% glycerol. The statistical analysis used is Analysis of One-way Variance (ANOVA). The characteristics of Bioplastic packaging from kombucha cellulose with the approval of glycerol concentrations of 1%-5% (v / v) produced a combined average mean value of 0.015 mm, 0.02 mm , 0.025 mm, 0.027 mm and 0.045 mm. The tensile strength values obtained were 7.22 N / mm2, 3.27 N / mm2, 2.17 N / mm2, 1.80 N / mm2 and 2.15 N / mm2. The highest percent value was 73%,. While the highest solubility values were 50%. Application of kombucha cellulose as a bioplastic packaging in tomato fruit is acceptable as an alternative packaging fruit biodegradable material for fruit.
