Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the learning obstacle that student commit in basic trigonometric equations. This study used descriptive qualitative method, employing phenomenological research design. The focus of the phenomenon in this study is the obstacles that student commit in basic trigonometric equations. Data was collected through a test that was tested to 11th grade students who had learned basic trigonometric equations. The result showed that the learning obstacle that student commit in basic trigonometric equations have been categorized into 3 (three) types, that is learning obstacle of concept image, learning obstacle that related to various information and learning obstacle in mathematical representation.
