Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how much influence the internet has on the development of local tourism in Indonesia. This study uses qualitative methods and through literature studies. The results of the study state that the role of the internet is very influential on the development of local tourism so that it can now compete with national and foreign tourism. Because the internet is the widest and fastest network that can transmit information in just minutes to all corners of the world without having to face each other. The conclusion that it has been proven that the role of the internet as a local tourism promotion strategy is indeed an effective and efficient alternative when compared to other strategies, because it has a huge impact on the progress of tourism.
