Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the critical thinking skills mathematically using a problem-based learning model. This type of quantitative research is designed in an experimental model, using a nonequivalent control-groups pattern. Sampling is not random. A sample of 76 people consisted of two classes. Both classes are given different treatments. Retrieval of data, performed tests twice, namely Pre-test and Post-test. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-test. Hypothesis test results, there is an increase in mathematical critical thinking skills, where the t-test on the value (sig. (2-tailed)) is less than the value of α. conclusion of problem-based learning can improve mathematical critical thinking skills.
