Abstract
This pretest-postest control group design was aimed to improve student-s concept understanding and to minimize their misconceptions on the topic of Dinamics. The subjects of this experiment research were selectedusing cluster random sampling from High School in Gorontalo, namely 30 students of experiment class and 30 students of control class. The instruments used to collected the data is multiple choice test. The data were analyzed using t-test and the students- conception profiles were carried out using Certainty of Response Index technique. The results of this research show the significant difference in the posttest average and normalized gain average between the experimental class (74. 67 and 0.625) and control class (64.17 and 0.469) and tcount = 5,091 greater than ttable = 2.000 on the confidence level 0.05. This results of experiment research are supported by the fact that misconeptions in the experiment class are smaller than those in the control class. The implementation of smartphone learning media is effective to improve student-s concepts understanding and mimimize their misconceptions on the topic of Dinamics.
