Abstract
The Digital Era provides challenges as well as opportunities for the development of Halal Tourism. One of the challenges is to formulate a framework and criterion of halal in five products and services in tourism industry: halal hotel, transportation, food premise, tour package, and finance. The criteria of the Islamic permissibility (halal) in halal food premise and finance might have been relatively established, but not in a hotel, transportation, and tour package.
