Abstract
IPB University has been declared a biodiversity campus in 2016. The potential of medicinal plants on the campus of IPB Darmaga is unknown, even though this is very important in the development of science and technology in the field of conservation of medicinal plants. This study aims to identify the diversity of species and the potential benefits of medicinal plants on the campus of IPB Darmaga,. The method used in this research is exploration and literature study. The number of medicinal plants found on the campus of IPB Darmaga was 170 species from 68 families. The plant family has the most commonly found medicines which are Euphorbiaceae and Fabaceae of 11 species. Habitus from medicinal plants on the campus of IPB Darmaga was dominated by 60 species of trees (35.29%). The largest percentage of parts of plants that can be used as medicine is the leaf portion of 35.58%. In general, medicinal plants found on the campus of IPB Darmaga are cultivated plants. The diversity of medicinal plants found on campus of IPB Darmaga has the most efficacy for digestive tract diseases.
