Abstract
This research is motivated by the importance of reflective. Therefore, researcher applying Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, since this approach is expected to improve the ability of reflective thinking. The propose of this research to implementation of reflective thinking skill to RME approch, determine whether the achievement and enhancement capabilities mathematical abstraction of students who received RME approach and determine students- errors of reflective. The method used in this research is mixed method with incorporation of QUANTITATIVE-qualitative and concurrent embedded design. The study involved two classes of experimental class and control class. The population of this research is all students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 4 Kota Serang. The instrument used in this study a of reflective thinking ability test instruments, non-test instruments in the form in the form is observation sheet, interview guides, documentation as well as the researchers. The conclution of this research that the achievement and improvement of reflective thinking abilities experimental class is better than the control class. Students- errors when the test of reflective thinking ability include errors in making mathematical modeling, concept errors, systematic errors and miscalculations.
