Abstract
The main purpose of a preliminary-study is to develop the test of Hu & Adey-s scientific creativity and polya critical thinking test for fifth grade students on magnetic force context. Additionally, the detailed-topics relating to in the context of magnetic force are magnetism, Force between magnet, magnetic field and electric current. The Four-D Model systems-approach is applied in this research. They are three experts that review the design of scientific creativity; involve two experts in assessment and a experts in the magnetic force content. Moreover, the design of scientific creativity and critical thinking test have already been developed by references from numerous experts. The forty-two students from Bandung Barat city are tested by using this scientific creativity and critical thinking test. To sum up, three experts granted that seven items for measuring scientific creativity and four items on critical thinking test which have already been developed are suitable of fifth grade students regarding the magnetic force context.
