Abstract

Abstract Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the effectiveness of applying Case Based Learning in improving critical thinking skills in nursing students. Methods: Article searches use the PubMed, Ebsco, Science Direct, and Scopus databases. The research questions based on PICO. There were 454 articles found and only three articles that fit the inclusion criteria. This article is reviewed using the Critical Appraisal Skills Program and the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool. Effective Public Health Practice Project was used to assess the quality of articles. Results: There are three articles included in this study. From the results of the critical assessment of the articles included, the application of case-based learning can significantly improve the essential capabilities of thinking of nursing students. Conclusion: Application of case-based learning to nurse students is promising in improving students critical thinking skills.
