Abstract

This study examined the relationship between job stress and frontline deviance, and the moderation effect of passive leadership and coworker support on the relationship between job stress and frontline deviance. We collected data from 314 frontliner employees who work in various industries in Surabaya. This study found that job stress has a positive relationship with frontline deviance, and the positive relationship between job stress and frontline deviance was stronger when passive leadership was high than low. We also found that when coworker support was high than low, the positive relationship between job stress and frontline deviance was stronger.
