Abstract
The aim of this study was to find out the effect of using computer assissted-conceptual development conceptual change text (CA-CDCCText) in improving high school students- mental model related to the concept of battery function in the DC circuits. CA-CDCCText consists of six part of the text. The method used in this study is a pre-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. The number of research subjects was 36 students consisting of 20 female and 16 male students, at one high schools in West Java province. Data were collected by level of conceptual understanding test related to the concept of battery function in the DC circuits. The results showed that the use of CA-CDCCText in physics learning could be improved the mental model of 78% of high school students towards a scientific mental models. These results indicate that the use of CA-CDCCText has a high effectiveness in improving high school students mental model related to the concept of battery function in the DC circuits.
