Students- engagement is one of the important factors of students- success in learning. For instance, students- engagement in the stages of problem-based learning encourages students to be able to apply their knowledge and skills to solving problems. This study aims to describe students- engagement and problem solving skills in problem-based learning in science learning. This type of research uses poor experiment research with a descriptive quantitative method. The sample used in this study was seventh grade students in one of the junior high schools in Bandung. The data in this study were collected by using the written test to measure of problem solving skills, while questionnaires and observation sheets were used to measure students- engagement. The results of the study showed that through problem based learning there was an increase of students problem solving skills with a gain score of 0.818 and 89.66% of students engage in learning. The correlation between students- engagement in learning and problem solving skills is 0.648 which shows that students- engagement in problem based learning learning affects on students- problem solving skills.
