The Analysis of Science Process Skill on The Concept of Heat and Temperature Based Instrument Two-Tier Test

Abstract
Science Process Skills (SPS) are all scientific skills used to acquire, develop, and apply scientific concepts and theories. Mastery of Science Process Skills is not only useful in science learning but also for the daily life of students. The purpos of this research was to analysis the science process skill in high scholl student about the concept of heat and temperature. This is a descriptive research with subjects of the research were 11th grade students in Madiun. Data in this research collecting from essay test, two-tier multiple choice test, and interview. Two-tier multiple choice test consists of 14 question that contains an indicator of science process skill. Two-tier level of completion stage, the first level is multiple choice question, as second level is description of the reason the student-s answer to the first level question. Students taken as samples for this study are not really familiar with the type of questions asked during the science process skills test. Thus, their results was still in the low category. The average of science process skills for students in 11th grade students in Madiun with Two-tier instrument is 19.99%.
