Abstract
This article attempts to investigate Russian Foreign policy under President Vladimir Putin. What does Russia want? How does Putin see the world and Russias place in it? Using Two Level Games (Robert Putnam, 1988), this article offers a simplified view that Russian leaders are simultaneously players in the game of promoting their interests on both the national and international level. Leaders are a link between the international and domestic environment, as their strategies in one game must manifest themselves in another.
