The Direction of Developing Islamic Higher Education in Facing the Disruption Era: an Analytical Study of UIN Vision in Indonesia

Abstract
This study tries to analyze the trend of UIN development in Indonesia by conducting in-depth research on the vision of the institution. This study uses a qualitative approach with document analysis design or content analysis. The vision of higher education is traced through the official page with the domain ac.id. From a total of 17 UINs in Indonesia, two UINs namely UIN Mataram and UIN STS Jambi do not display their vision statement on the campus website. The findings of this study are the Vision of UIN Riau is the most extended complex (27 words) while the North Sumatra UIN is a UIN that has a clear vision (5 words). Regarding the main target outlined in the vision, UIN Malang, mentioning four goals in their vision. In the mention of the main targets in the vision of the majority of UIN choosing the word "excellence" is the most used choice, followed by the word "competitive, prominent, internationally reputed and having an Islamic character." There is no UIN whose vision contains the full criteria of measured indicators of success, suitable definitions and execution time.
