Health Promotion and MOP Perception for Men Acceptors

Abstract
Population growth in Indonesia, nowadays often bringing many trigger of many social conflicts and it has many consequences of it. The problem which caused by these gap of population is likely creates another problems; such as malnutrition caused by poverty in society, abortion, baby boom and so on. There is a way to eradicate this problems, targeted for young family named KB Programs. KB Program are contains health promotion and counselling for using contraception among productive ages in young marriage, which provides into several methods, both are for men and women. Previously, women contraception are most popular rather than contraception methods for men but for now, this participation for men acceptor is increasing since there are contraception counselor named PLKB accompanied the local community. This research presenting on how health promotion running well for men acceptor through PLKB counseling and what is the men perception about their active participation into KB Programs. Research was conducted based on qualitative methods using area sampling for 15 men in Batu City, East Java. Applying Deconstruction theory from Jacques Derrida, research found that 1) there were still a stereotype that contraception only used mostly for women; 2) Counseling from PLKB are proven for upgrading men perception for their health issues and decided to get involved on KB Program by choosing MOP; 3) Men perception are being improved through MOP methods in contraception, and they tried to enlarge this knowledge by spreading this health promotion to others in Batu City using social media.
