The application of ICT learning through hippani animator : the effects on mathematical reasoning ability

Abstract

The use of ICT in mathematics learning is not something new in the current era of industrial revolution 4.0 as an effort in maximizing mathematical abilities. One of the mathematical abilities that need to be explored on is mathematical reasoning abilities. The research aims to determine the effectiveness of ICT learning developed by using Hippani Animator software on students mathematical reasoning abilities. This is a quasi-experimental study with non equivalent control group design. The experimental class is given the treatment using ICT, while the control class is given treatment with conventional method. The results showed that the mathematical reasoning ability of the experimental class students was better than the control class. These results indicate that the use of ICT in mathematics learning is effective towards students reasoning abilities.
