Temperature Distribution Analysis of Ti6Al4V Milling Process

Abstract

Ti6Al4V is the most widely used material in the aircraft industry. Ti6Al4V is classified as a material that is difficult to cut because it has low thermal conductivity. This study analyzes the temperature distribution in a milling process that is concentrated on tools and workpieces. Temperature distribution analysis uses Autodesk Simulation Mechanical software with Cobalt Tungsten Carbide tools and Ti6Al4V workpieces. The highest temperature on the tool is 424, 4510 &
