Abstract
As the learning material source that used independently, science books such as science textbooks or science enrichment books need to have good quality text that suit to student-s reading level. The purpose of this study is to analyse the readability of science book especially scientific literacy enrichment book on earth science context that developed based on scientific literacy competence on PISA 2015. Method on this research is descriptive quantitative with determining main concept on passage as instrument to collect data and Raygor Graph to analyse book-s reading grade level. Passage on instrument are passages without graph, picture, formula or blank page. Data that collected are main concept explanation for determining passage readability percentage and difficult words for determining reading level of the passage. Participants that contribute on this research are 7th grade students at one of junior high school in Cilacap distric in Central Java, Indonesia. Data showed that readability percentage of the passage is 56% that categorized as readable. It means that half of the participants can determine the main concept of the passage and half of the passage can be read easily. The Raygor Graph showed that the passage is suitable for 8th grade student-s reading level. It explains why the percentage of the passages is low. Both of the data showed that the texts of the book is readable for junior high school students. Based on the data, the texts are readable even the participants are lower the student-s reading grade level. It showed that the text has enrichment book characteristic that readable for various student-s reading level.
