Supplies of raw materials are materials or goods that are stored to meet certain purposes, for example used in the production or assembly process, for resale, or for parts of equipment or machinery. Inventory of raw materials is very important because it can affect the course of the production process. Raw material inventory control at the Spinning Department of PT. Unitex still often experiences shortages and excess raw materials which cause the production process to run smoothly. This research uses a quantitative approach, with data collection methods, namely interviews and direct observation into the company. The method used in this research is descriptive with a case study method that aims to collect data, the analytical method used is the EOQ method used to determine the most economical ordering, order frequency. The results of this study indicate that the EOQ method can help the Spinning Department of PT. Unitex in controlling optimal inventory of raw materials that is equal to 135,521.3 kg of Cotton in each one order with a frequency of ordering 10 times a order in one period. And for Polyester raw materials as much as 620.97 kg in each one-time order with a frequency of ordering 9 times in one period. The smooth production process also increased by 11.6% from 88.4% to 100%, so the production process can be said to be smooth. In this research, it is known that the proper supply of raw materials will support the smooth production process so that there is no shortage and excess of raw materials.
