Era and technology that continues to develop encourage structural changes in society. This causes friction of people who are used to comfortable with regularly conditions but they must deal with a new conditions and this condition occurs in almost every line of life. Today this disruptive era of economics occurs in all aspects of life. It also emphasize faster economic circle. On the other hand, the development also has a social impact for the people with Indonesian culture, especially regarding gender issues in employment. Although the role of women in economic, social and cultural development in Indonesia has been around for a long time, the dual role of women as housewives often restrict womens careers. Nowadays, there is a cultural shift where women are no longer only required to work as housewives, but also work professionally in the work environment. The purpose of this study is to find out what factors influence married women to continue working in this disruptive era. The study was conducted with a purposive sampling method. Data collection in this study was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 131 respondents and data analysis technique used in this study is the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. This study found that variables of income level, education level, and number of family members did not influence income for households in the condition of wives working in a disruptive era. The influence is actually found in the motivation factor of the wife to work, including the motivation for self-actualization, fulfillment of socialite needs, and encouragement to fill leisure time. That is because when the wife works to meet personal needs, then the husbands income allocation will be given optimally to household income.
