Abstract
This study aims to elaborate between two elements of writing component (content and organization) in student thesis writing. The focus of the research in this article is in the introductory chapter based on the content of chapter 1 which contains important points of research, rationale, important issues that want to be raised, goals and benefits in order to increase authors logic in breaking down his mindset, the focus of his ideas, how to organize ideas so that coherence is very important to measure. The research problem formulation is: "What are the description and the problem of the consistency of the content component and the students thesis in chapter 1?" The main objective of this research is to see the logic of the authors mindset starting from the title to the introductory chapter by focusing on the content and organization aspects in the assessment standards writing. This study is a literature study, qualitative research design in linguistic research with the student questionnaire as the main data source; there are 5 student theses from the class (2008 to 2015) which are the main ingredients of this study. The technique of data collection is done by: reading techniques followed by note-taking techniques. Data were analyzed using content analyzers. Language linguistic analysis refers to the opinion of Sudaryanto (2001) which includes: observing, dissecting, and expressing. The results of the study describe that: (1). 2 of the 5 theses in the content component show the consistency of the revelation of the thesis in the introductory chapter very well, this is indicated by the statement starting the idea of the chapter one focus reviewers the main topic in the title of the thesis; The other 1 thesis is categorized as having a pretty good statement even though the focus of the topic is not sharply reviewed starting in the first and second paragraphs; 2 other theses can be seen from paragraph 1 to 3 the idea is general, does not directly focus on the title or main topic of the thesis. (2) 2 theses show that ideas are arranged systematically with indications of preliminary effectiveness, logical explanation of ideas, and paragraph suitability are neatly arranged even though some are not perfect but overall can be categorized as good; 1(one) thesis shows the arrangement of ideas develops well but still needs to add ideas and facts to support the suitability and focus of the problem; The 2 (two) theses in chapter 1 of the idea do not appear to be effective, focusing the problem is not sharpened data interpretation. The problem section according to Bryne (188) then concluded that the ability of the idea to influence the occurrence of consistency in the logic arrangement in the content an organization component.
