The metaphore architecture approach is an architectural approach that originated from the idea of connecting architecture with the language of parables. Its application is often used in public buildings, one of which is the Oceanarium building. The purpose of this research is to find out what type of metaphor used in oceanarium buildings that are in the study object, to then be a reference for the application of the metaphor approach in designing oceanariums. The research method uses qualitative methods, by analyzing the variables of form and meaning in the three study objects, then conclude the building metaphor type. Then compared through the table so that it can be concluded that the metaphor in the oceanarium has a variety of types, but has the same metaphorical object theme which is marine.
