Background: The prevalence of diabetes in the world continues to increase, other accompanying diseases such a comorbid disease. The Comorbid related to obesity include hypertension, heart disease, dyslipidemia and diabetes mellitus (DM) type 2. Exercise were known to improve the lipid profile of patients who have over weight. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of low and moderate intensity training on lipid profiles in diabetic patients. Methods: This type of laboratory experimental study with a randomized design complete. The sample consisted of 20 people divided into 2 groups, namely the control group with low intensity exercise (K1), the control group medium intensity (K2) for 2 months. Results: there was a significant effect on low and medium intensity aerobic exercise on lipid profiles with HDL = 0.001, LDL = 0.043, total cholesterol = 0.041, and triglycerides = 0.002. Thus moderate intensity aerobic exercise was better applied to improve the lipid profile of diabetic patients than low exercise.
