Abstract

Indonesia is a country with very high potential for disasters, not even a few people live in disaster-prone areas. The threat of extreme natural hazards will not only cause damage to infrastructure, but also the loss of human lives. The high number of human fatalities is partly due to the low facilitation of services provided. This study aims to develop an ergonomic intervention model in mitigation to apply within the scope of disaster management, so that the number of casualties can be minimized. The method used in this study is Adaptation models based on Human Factor Engineering to improve situations that are not ideal and implement ergonomic interventions in mitigation. The results obtained through the study of Ergonomic Mitigation Model (Ergomitigation) are a facility design that is more accessible to disaster victims with special needs, thereby reducing the severity of the victims. The conclusion of this research study is that the risk and severity of fatalities can be reduced by providing adequate and easily accessible facilities in emergency situations.
