Abstract

One method that can optimize the learning process is through inquiry methods. Thus learning inquiry methods supports students to discover, students are encouraged to learn mostly through their own active involvement with concepts and principles, and teachers encourage students to have experience and conduct experiments that allow them to find principles for themselves own. The purpose of inquiry teaching helps students to form questions, look for answers or solutions to satisfy their curiosity and to help their theories and ideas about the world. The problems that researchers revealed were: 1) Whether through inquiry methods can improve students critical thinking skills in the material to construct flat side spaces. The method used in this study is a test method in the form of several description tests. The results the researchers got were 1) Inquiry Methods can improve students critical thinking skills in learning to build flat side spaces. Based on the percentage of students thinking ability tests the student learning outcomes classically average reaches a high category, and it occurs from pre-PTK to post PTK
