Abstract
Data from 2017 to Dec. 14 2018 shows that there is a trend increase from the Coefficient of Thermal (CTE) from the Ceramics filter product from a company A and this makes a decrease in the meting point value of the Ceramic filter product which has approached the customer min spec (≥ 650 oC). A CTE value is needed that can be used as a standard to ensure the melting point value does not come out of the customer spec value. By using the correlation method a minimum CTE value will be used as a standard to guarantee the quality of the Ceramics filter from company A

The use of the balance-scale model for the learning of equation topic has often been used. However, based on limited observations, the use of the model has not been systematic and less based on learning theory. This study aims to design teaching materials about linear equations in one variable with a model of balance-scales based on realistic mathematics theories intended for junior high school students. For this purpose, we used design research, particularly the preliminary design phase. First, we compiled the material based on curriculum and mathematics textbooks. This practical view was used as consideration in designing a learning sequence. Second, the practical learning sequence was revised based on the theory of realistic mathematics education. This theory was used because it gives meaningful mathematics learning to the students. Third, we organized a focus group discussion to review and improve the design intend to produce a learning sequence that can further be used for the teacher for the teaching experiment. The results included learning sequence in the form of learning materials on the topic of linear equations in one variable with a balance-scale model. Abstract
Groundwater is a very important component in the hydrological cycle, and is a very important source and its existence is not affected by the evaporation process that occurs at the surface of the soil. Through measurement of the value of EC (Electrical Conductivity) using a conductivity meter by separating soil samples from a depth of 600 cm to 50 cm. Then measure the water content and C-Organic content by gravimetric method. Obtained parameter values such as EC values at depths of 0-400 cm (layer A) have a range of values of (0.2-0.11) dS m-1. Then at a depth of 401-550 cm (layer B) has a range of values of (0.04-0.13) dS m-1 and the last at a depth of 551-600 cm has a range of EC values of (0.7- 0.23) dS m-1. Then the C-Organic content values obtained for layer A are 37.50%, layer B 47.01% and layer C 6.85%. From the parameters measured namely the water content and C-Organic content have values that fluctuate based on the layer, but if the value of water content is high the value of C-Organic content will also be high. It can be said that the water content and C-Organic content are linear but inversely proportional to the EC value.

This was developmental research aimed at developing a test for testing students- mathematics competency as prospective secondary school mathematics teachers. The test result will be the prerequisite ability which will determine mathematics students- feasibility to step forward to the research proposal seminar to undertake their thesis. The research respondents were 32 third-year students of the mathematics department of FMIPA UNM. Within this research, the test was developed through five phases, namely: (1) devising the test specification; (2) writing down the test; (3) reviewing the test; (4) trying out the test; (5) analyzing the items of the test from both difficulty level and item discrimination. Determination of the accepted items after trying out referred to the analysis results based on item discrimination, i.e. the ability of the questions to differ students with high from low ability in mathematics. The measure of the item discrimination coefficient was from –1 to 1. The analysis results were classified into three categories, namely: accepted without revision (if the item discrimination coefficient is greater than 0.30), accepted with revision (if the item discrimination coefficient is from 0.10 to 0.29), and rejected (if the item discrimination coefficient is less than 0.10). There were 45 multiple-choice items written, tried out, and then analyzed. The analysis results showed that 21 items were accepted without revision, 17 items were accepted with revision in terms of the language construction and the difficulty level of the items, whereas 7 items the rest were rejected. Thus, 38 of the 45 items were feasible to use in testing the students- mathematics competency.

Abstract
Probability is one of the subjects in learning mathematics in the ninth grade. Based on the results of preliminary tests conducted, students still get difficulties in restating a concept of probability, students still mistaken in giving examples and not examples of probability events, and the relationship between theoretical and empirical probability, and also students still have difficulty in exploring empirical probability. That is because learning done in school is less meaningful for students. Therefore, this study aims to develop learning probability through the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. This research using design research method which consists of three cyclic phases, such as though experiment, instruction experiment, and retrospective analysis. Data in this study was obtained from student worksheets, interview sheets, field notes sheets, Hypothesis Learning Trajectory (HLT), voice recordings, and pictures. Based on the results of a retrospective analysis, learning with the RME approach can develop students ability in understanding probability concept. Students can understand theoretical and empirical probability, comparing the chance of events, and understanding the frequency of expectations in empirical events. RME principles can support students- thinking through the use of contexts, the use of the models, the use of student construction results, interactivity, and the intertwining of various learning strands.
