Abstract
Research on the manufacture of polyurethane with chitosan and bentonite fillers modified with CTAB into montmorillonite (MMT) which will be applied to medical devices. The raw polyurethane from castor oil and diisocyanate is in the form of Toluene Diisocyanate (TDI). The addition of chitosan to castor oil polyurethane functions as an anti-bacterial agent. Pure polyurethane still has a deficiency of high temperatures and therefore added MMT which functions as a heat-retaining agent. The bacteria used are E. coli bacteria and Staphylococcus Aureus bacteria. The results showed a polyurethane that can withstand high temperatures is PU-MMT-CS 6%. The best anti-bacterial properties were obtained in polyurethane containing chitosan with higher concentrations (PU-MMT-CS 6%).

Abstract
Zinc Oxide (ZnO) has attracted much attraction for its potential applications in ultraviolet region including sensors, solar energy, laser technology, optoelectronics and transparent conducting oxide. In this work, the influence of growth time and concentration of Hexamethylenetetramine (C6H12N4 / HMTA) on the formation of ZnO nanorods using Chemical Bath Deposition were investigated. ZnO nanorods (ZNRs) were synthesized on the FTO glass through a chemical bath deposition (CBD) using zinc nitrate tetrahydrate powder (Zn(NO3)2.4H2O) and HMTA with molar ratio 1:1, 1:2 and 1:4 at 90°C. The growth duration was varied at 120, 150 and 180 minutes at annealing temperature of 90oC. The synthesized ZnO was characterized using a scanning mission electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and ultraviolet-visible spectroscopies (UV-Vis). Growth duration and concentration of HMTA were found to influence the morphology, orientation, and diameter of the ZNRs. X-ray diffractograms demonstrated strong and sharp peak at (002) plane as an indication of c-axis ZNRs. Secondary electron images showed that ZNRs were well aligned along the c-axis and the diameter of nanorods is increasing with the increased of growth time and concentration of HMTA. The optical properties of ZNRs showed that the absorbance increase at high growth time and concentration of HMTA.

Abstract
Edible coating such as chitosan was utilized to prevent fruit from ripening and prolong the shelf life. Grapes and tomato were used as samples and treated with chitosan solution at different concentration 1, 2 and 3%. The combination of 3% chitosan solution with polyphenol and ascorbic acid at different concentration were also studied. The polyphenol was extracted from green tea using maceration technique . The fruit samples were analyzed by measuring the color changes of the fruits. The shelf life of the grapes was improved almost 2.5 times longer using 3% chitosan solution compared to the uncoated grapes. The shelf life is increased from 6 days to 16 days. Tomato shelf life was also enhanced using 3 % chitosan solution from 4 days to 15 days for the coated chitosan. The addition of polyphenol and ascorbic acid to the chitosan solution was only slightly prolong the shelf life of the samples although it is not very significant compared to the blank. The results proved that the chitosan treatment to grapes and tomato enhanced their shelf life and this material has potential to be used industrially and it can benefit for farmer.

Abstract. The aim of this study is to synthesize mesoporous silica composites with activated carbon by utilizing rice husk waste and coconut shell as adsorbent to absorbs methyl orange dyes. Rice husk ash was hybridized with PEG into silica-PEG, then PEG was released by solvothermal extraction using DMG (dymethyl sulfoxide) as solvent to obtain mesopore silica. Composites are formed by homogenizing mesoporous silica and activated carbon with methanol. Mesopore silica composites were successfully synthesized based on SEM-EDX data which showed the distribution of carbon, silica and oxygen in surface morphology with content of 76.99%, 5.08% and 17.93% respectively. The results showed that the adsorption of composite adsorbent reached the adsorption capacity of 0,470 mg.g-1 in a pH 2 solution with 30 minutes of contact time. The occurrence of methyl orange adsorption is monolayer because it match the Langmuir adsorption isotherm equation.

Abstract
Nowadays business competition is getting tougher, especially with regard to meeting consumer needs. Unstable market demand is often a challenge for companies in meeting market demand. Conditions of demand that are often more than inventory or vice versa incur costs that must be borne by the company. The study was conducted at PT. Tri Sapta Jaya which is engaged in the distribution of medical devices, medicines and formula milk. The problem that arises is when the supply is more than demand, the company will have to bear the cost of saving. Meanwhile, when inventory is less than demand, the company must bear the cost of a product backlog. Problem-solving uses a dynamic system approach that has the characteristics of being influenced by time and the existence of interrelationships loop. Causal loop and stock & flow diagrams are used to describe the companys inventory system, then scenarios are carried out to minimize inventory system costs. Two improvement scenarios were carried out, namely the scenario of increasing safety stock and the scenario of reducing lead time. The results obtained from the study are the improvement scenarios chosen are the scenarios of reducing lead time. This scenario can reduce the total cost of the inventory system by Rp. 13,879,099. By applying this scenario, the company can reduce the cost of saving which is one of the costs in total costs

Abstract
High demanding of tofu as a food type containing high protein-s source in Indonesia is followed by increasing amount of tofu waste produced from this industry, both solid and liquid waste. The high amount of organic material of this wastewater (9,880 mg COD/L) results in its potential to be treated biologically by the combination of the anaerobic-aerobic process. To enhance the process efficiency and better quality of the effluent, in this study, coagulation and flocculation process was added as the finishing process after biological treatment methods. The purposes of this research were to evaluate the more effective method between aerobic process and the combination of anaerobic-aerobic process and to determine the best dose of tamarind seed as the natural coagulant. Doses variant used were 1,000 ppm, 2,000 ppm, 3,000 ppm, and 4,000 ppm. The result showed that the aerobic process had a slightly better performance of COD removal compared to the combination process (anaerobic-aerobic), which was about 89.744%. The finishing process, coagulation and flocculation was focused on lowering turbidity level of the effluent of biological process. 2,000 ppm of tamarind seed gave the best result on decreasing turbidity level for both processes, aerobic process (63.745%) and anaerobic-aerobic process (47.567%).

Abstract
Biomass gasification technology has been developed in Indonesia in the last 30 years. During those years, this technology has become one of the choices as a decentralized power plant for remote area. However, the use of synthetic gas directly on diesel engine and steam turbine for electricity generation has a relatively low efficiency. On the other hand, synthetic gas can be used as raw material for Fischer Tropsch (FT) process, a process for manufacturing synthetic diesel and gasoline in high temperature. Because of its high temperature, the exhaust heat can still be used for steam power plant. This paper consists of a study for synthetic gas production from corncob-s gasification which then can be used as FT process-s raw material. Product-s economic level is compared with conventional process. Previous studies show that gasifier optimal temperature is between 800 to 1,000oC. Simulation shows that this approach can produce FT fuel (diesel oil equivalent) 58 million litres per year and electricity 400 GWh per year. With raw material capacity of 300,000 tonnes/year, calculated FT fuel production cost is 6,569 IDR/liter and electricity production cost are 245 IDR/kWh (about 22% of PLN-s average tariffs 1,123 IDR/kWh).
