Abstract
Mathematics has an important role in development in all aspects of life. Through mathematical modeling, students can be trained to think critically and creatively in solving problems related to everyday life. The habit of critical thinking using intuition can help determine the initial steps and bring up creative ideas in solving the problems they face. This study aims to describe the characteristics of the intuitive reasoning model of students of rational personality types in solving HOTS problems in mathematics. The subjects in this study were grade VIII students of DAHA 1 PAWYATAN SMP Kediri who had been selected based on rational personality types through Kierseys personality test. The intuition data used by the subjects in this study were collected using task-based interviews. The results of this study are that the subjects did not rewrite the important things in the question when answering, such as what is known and what was asked by arguing that this is usually true. In general the subjects in this study used an implicit intuitive reasoning model and diagrammatic model to solve the HOTS problem given.

Abstract
An ellipse can be obtained through the conic section, if the plane intersects one of the pieces of the cone and its axis but is not perpendicular to the axis, the intersection will be an ellipse. Besides that, a circular cylinder cut by a plane that has a slope between 0 degrees and 90 degrees against the base of the circular cylinder, the intersection forms an ellipse. The purpose of this study that 1) determine the equation of the ellipse in terms of the circular cylinder section approach and 2) determine the area of the ellipse in terms of the circular cylinder section approach. The method we used in this research is literature studies from several books that are relevant to research. The results showed that 1) the equation of ellipse can be derived from the approach of circular cylinder section and 2) the area of ellipse can be obtained using the circular cylinder section approach. We conclude using this circular cylinder section approach, we can obtain the same formula both for equation and area as the conic section.

Abstract
Play and Games are two aspects that are familiar and very close to children. The game can be an effective learning tool for early childhood. Traditional Javanese games can be a learning suggestion for kindergarten students to practice social skills and introducing mathematics in a fun way. Children will be more interested in learning mathematics. This study aims to develop traditional Javanese games that can train the ability to socialize and introducing mathematics from an early age. Traditional games developed include Dakon and Gejlig. The development of traditional games is based on the needs of kindergarten students to learn mathematics and learn to socialize. The sample in this study were kindergarten students who were invited to study mathematics while playing. Two of the games taught to children are Dakon and Gejlig. The Dakon game is played by two students. Through the Dakon game, students are trained to learn to count and recognize simple addition and subtraction operations by counting the seeds played. Students who win are students who at the end of the game Dakon get more seeds than their friends. In the game of Gejlig, the number of students playing is not only two, but can be in groups of four or five students. In this game students can take turns jumping on a flat building that has been arranged on the floor / ground. If the traditional game is usually, flat buildings drawn only in the form of a square or half circle, in this study students are free to create their own set of flat building that they will use to play. Thus, students know more about waking up flat through the game of Gejilg. Javanese Traditional games can be an interesting media for early childhood to learn mathematics and learn to socialize with their peers. The results of this study indicate that through traditional Javanese games, there are many mathematical concepts that can be taught to students, such as the concept of addition and subtraction and shapes.

Abstract
Mathematical creative thinking is the ability of students to find solving ways that are unusual, unique, and have never been found by others. The development of the concept of mathematical creative thinking can make students despair and give up, so that another ability is needed so that they are able to survive and turn their difficulties to be opportunities for themselves to advance. This study aims to determine the mathematical creative thinking ability of class VIII junior high school students in one of the junior high schools in Bandung Barat on the subject to construct plane and solid geometry based on gender differences. The samples are 4 students consisting of two men and two women. Besides that, the discussion of mathematical creative thinking skills for junior high school students is viewed from gender differences, between male and female students in terms of their creative thinking abilities. The instrument of this research is a test of the ability to think creatively and interview. This study is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to describe the ability of creative thinking mathematically in solving problems of plane and solid geometry. The results show that the ability difference between male and female students is that the female students have much better mathematical creative thinking.
