Abstract
The combination between herbs and antibiotics might be promising strategy for antibiotic resistance. Abundance studies have been denoted that certain herbs have important roles in bacterial destruction proccess. As an antibacterial, previous study reported that Syzygium polyanthum (bay) leaf extract caused disintegration of bacterial surface and lysis of the bacterial intracellular component. The aim of this study was to determine antibacterial synergistic activity of S. polyanthum leaf extract and chloramphenicol. Staphylococcus aureus was significantly inhibited after treating with high dose of chloramphenicol and low dose of S. polyanthum decoction in disk diffusion test (26 ± 1.52 mm of inhibition zone) in the comparison with low dose of S. polyanthum decoction treatment only (5 ± 4,61 mm of inhibition zone, p <0,05). Similar results were found by combining low dose of chloramphenicol and low dose of methanol extract of S. polyanthum in disk diffusion test (17 ± 0.57 mm of inhibition zone) in the comparison with low dose of methanol extract of S. polyanthum treatment only (7 ± 5,85 mm of inhibition zone). In conclusion, this study suggests that Syzygium polyanthum leaf extract synergizes with antibiotic and has potential as a therapeutic agent for antimicrobial chemotherapy.

Abstract
Breast cancer is one of the most virulent types of cancers that contribute to high mortality worldwide. Hyperthermia (HT) therapy was introduced as one of the alternatives to treat breast cancer. However, HT caused poor specific heat distribution in tumor during treatment which lead to unintentional destruction of normal cells. Therefore, this study explores the integration effect of multiwalled-carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) in combination with hyperthermia for breast cancer therapy regime. MWCNT was recognized as the potential candidate for hyperthermal therapy due to its thermal conductance and stability which generated a significant amount of heat during hyperthermia. This subsequently will provide specific heat distribution in tumor, which expected to improve the treatment outcome. In this study, 5 × 105 EMT6 breast cell was inoculated subcutaneously into right flank of female Balb/c mice. At day 7 post-inoculation, tumors were intratumorally injected with MWCNT and subjected to local HT for 3 consecutive days. The tumor progression was monitored every 2 days. In another experiment, mice were sacrificed after 24 hr post-treatment and tumors were harvested for pathological examination by H&E and immunohistochemical analysis for PCNA and Hsp70 expression. Results from this study demonstrated that mice from combined treatment displayed complete tumor eradication and significantly prolonged median survival (P<0.001). Furthermore, histological analysis of tissues from combined treatment showed that the tumor experienced cell necrosis. For Hsp70 expression, HT and combined treatment both showed expression of Hsp70 protein corresponding to hyperthermia. In addition, significant reduction of PCNA-positive cells was observed in treated group indicated that HT in combination with MWCNT treatment inhibited tumor cells proliferation. Altogether, results presented in this study suggested that MWCNT might have a potential as an anticancer therapeutic agent in future breast cancer treatment.

Soursop leaves (Annona muricata Linn.) as an anti-inflammatory substance: an in silico study Damayanti D.S, Firdaus R.S, Hanum S. Faculty of Medicine, Islamic University of Malang dinisridamayanti@unisma.ac.id Googlescholar ID: E3KD1GEAAAAJ ABSTRACT Soursop leaf essential oils and ethanol extract are known to have anti-inflammatory effects, but it is unclear how these effects work. This study aims to analyze the anti-inflammatory potential of soursop leaf essential oils and ethanol extract by the inhibition of COX-1 (Cyclooxygenase-1) and COX-2 (Cyclooxygenase-2) using an in silico study. Molecular docking between the active ingredients of soursop leaf (Annona muricata Linn) essential oils and ethanol extract against the target protein (COX-1 and COX-2) was done computationally. We measured free bond energy (ΔG) and hydrogen bonds on the amino acid residues. Inhibition potential was indicated by low free bonding energy and the presence of hydrogen bonds on the same amino acid, compared to the control, indomethacin. β-caryophyllene, trans-caryophyllene and linalool were predicted to have a weak potential to inhibit the COX-1 protein, in a manner similar to the control. Linolool was predicted to have the ability to inhibit COX-2, in a manner that was almost the same as the control. Rutin, nicotiflorin and quercetin had a weak potential to inhibit the COX-1 protein. Anonaine had the ability to inhibit the COX-2 protein in a manner close to that of the control. In conclusion, soursop leaf essential oils and ethanol extracts have a weaker ability to inhibit COX-1, but have the capability to control and inhbit COX-2.

This study aims to create a description of the formation of character through boarding school education in students in pondok pesantren and to see the achievement of pesantren in instilling the value of these characters. The values of characters to be seen and implanted such as religious values, discipline, intelligence, helping others, honesty and responsibility. Character is a habit or behavior of a person. The value of the character implanted to students by way of boarding school. In this study, four respondents who previously had bad character values such as not performing the prayers, denied the parents, did not care about the environment and wished to win themselves, but after boarding school (pesantren) changed the value of the character for the better. The four respondents were two male students and two female students. Planting the value of these characters to the students by controlling, supervising and doing habituation to the existing routine in the pesantren environment. This research is a qualitative research using unstructured interview technique and observation. The results showed that the four respondents experienced a change and already have the value of existing characters on boarding school (pesantren) is.

Abstract
Airlines are facing challenges from high cost structures and intense competition. This has made airlines universally look for opportunities to generate ancillary revenue, additional income apart from their main sources, including Full Service Carriers (FSC). Measuring consumer-s willingness to pay is pivotal in pricing and estimating ancillary revenue de-mand. This study analyzes whether customer-s type of journey, purpose of journey, length of flight, and type of flight class have an impact on willingness to pay (WTP) of Garuda Indonesia-s ancillary revenues which comprises of unbundled products and commission based income. This paper uses data from a survey to Garuda Indonesia-s customer and follows quantitative studies to identify and describe the relationship be-tween the WTP of Garuda Indonesia-s ancillary revenue and all variables involved. The study found that passengers value more the unbundled products. It is also found differ-ences in WTP for particular ancillary products and services based on purpose of journey, length of flight, and type of flight class.

Abstract
The study of potential fishing zones (PFZ) in Indonesia has been recognized for decades after the introduction of remote sensing technology for fisheries in the 1970s. Sea surface temperature (SST) and Chlorophyll-a concentration are the two main oceanography parameters used to determine potential fishing zones. Despite the popularity of this study, from which many research institutes produce such maps, there is still a big gap in understanding the accuracy of the map with respect to the vessels- behavior. One of the main reasons is the high-cost on validation methods such as conducting field surveys or engaging onboard observers. Furthermore, these methods can only cover a limited number of vessels and locations resulting in inaccuracy of PFZ. Using the available Indonesian VMS data, we can tackle those limitations. We analyze and match the VMS fishing efforts data against PFZ map based on time and distance variations. The PFZ map was sourced from LAPAN for a 1-year period in 2018 covering 6 project areas in the Java Sea, the Sulawesi Sea, the Maluku Sea and the Banda Sea. The VMS fishing effort data comes from Global Fishing Watch fishing algorithm which is run over Indonesian VMS data. The result showed that there were 1,476 vessels confirmed to fish around PFZs within the time variation ranging 1-3 days. The distance of the vessels fishing from the PFZ was less than 6 km. The study suggested that PFZ map has a promising accuracy in forecasting the fishing ground locations. The result can be beneficial in developing the capture fisheries technology by providing science-based advice for reducing the operational cost in searching for the fishing ground.

Abstract
The use of anchored fish aggregation devices (FADs) in Indonesian tuna fisheries is facing large challenges. There are two main problems: limited documentation on FAD deployment, and limited compliance by fishers in reporting FADs. Consequently, managing FADs is at present virtually impossible due to inaccurate and inconsistent data that may lead to unsustainable fisheries. In this research, we assess the distribution and densities of FADs in two main areas adjacent to North Sulawesi, Molucca and Celebes Sea based on four data sources. Logbooks of FAD locations from medium purse seine, handline and pole-and-line fishers were used to estimate total numbers and densities; transect surveys were used to check the density estimates; and port authority data were used to compare with the spatial distribution of the logbooks. The latter were not used since they were deemed unreliable. Interviews with fishers gave information on methods of deployment and minimum distances between FADs. We examine the strategies of FAD deployment based on relative influence of various operational and environmental factors. Reconstruction of the total number FADs based on an analysis of the reported and observed minimum distances between FADs (mean and standard deviation 7.2±1.54km, min=3.7km) to remove duplicates ended up with 962 FADs of which 673 in the Molucca Sea and 289 in the Celebes Sea. In particular, the estimate from the Celebes Sea represents most likely only a fraction of the FADs deployed as port authority data show deployment of FADs further from the shore. We show that FAD deployment in North Sulawesi is driven more by operational factors than environmental factors.
