Abstract
This study aims to analyze the determinants of exports and the spatial linkages of frozen shrimp and Indonesian fresh shrimp. This research uses gravity model analysis and spatial autocorrelation analysis. The data used are panel data for the 2007-2017 period in 23 countries for frozen shrimp and 6 countries for fresh shrimp. The empirical findings from this study indicate that competitiveness, logistical performance, population, and exchange rates have a significant positive effect on frozen shrimp exports, while fresh shrimp exports are significantly affected by economic distance, population, rates, exchange rates, and FTAs. The morans I index results in exports of frozen shrimp and fresh shrimp indicate a negative spatial autocorrelation.

Abstract
Indonesia is one of the top ten countries with the largest forest area in the world and potentially to become the largest forest products exporter in the world. Wood and articles of wood are the only forest product commodities that are included in the ten export commodities with the largest share in 2017, reaching 34%. Plywood provides the largest share of wood and articles of wood, reaching 42% in 2017. Since 2000, Indonesia is no longer a major exporter of world plywood, and the plywood exports volume tends to decline until 2017. Besides, it is indicated that some large plywood exports are still illegal, which are generally of inferior quality. It can subsequently have an impact on the competitiveness of Indonesian plywood. This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian plywood and assess the factors that affect Indonesian plywood exports to three major trading partners (Japan, South Korea, and the United States) over the period 2000 to 2017. The method used is the Common Effect Panel Model with cross-section weighted. Based on the results, it can be concluded that production and GDP do not affect the Indonesian plywood export significantly, while REER, RCA, and trade openness affect the Indonesian plywood export significantly. The policy recommendation is to enhance partnerships between exporters and timber farmers (especially those with limited capital) to increase production. As well as increasingly tightening the Timber Verification and Legality System (SVLK) so that importers do not doubt the quality of Indonesian plywood.

Abstract
Gold is one of the precious metals. Gold, which is processed in the form of bars and jewelry, is one of the most desirable investment items of the world community. In Southeast Asia, Indonesia is the highest gold producer, and Singapore has become the main destination for Indonesian gold exports since 2014. The volume of Indonesian gold exports to Singapore increased eightfold compared to 2013. At the same period, Singapore which is not a gold producer is one of the top 10 countries with the highest gold export value in the world, while Indonesias possition is left behind Singapore. This study aims to analyze the variables that affect the volume of Indonesian gold exports to Singapore in 2006-2017. The analytical method used is the Error Correction Mechanism. The results showed that in the short term there were significant effects of Indonesian gold production, Singapore FDI, and the previous gold exports volume on Indonesian gold exports volume to Singapore, while the exchange rate and world gold prices have no significant effect. The policy recommendation is government support in stimulating the establishment of national gold refining and manufacturing industry to increase profits by exporting value-added products through infrastructure and high technology support. This is because most of the gold exported to Singapore is raw gold. The government should encourage the refining and gold manufacturing industries by implementing the Good and Service Tax elimination. Besides, regulations need to be made to avoid excessive exploitation of gold due to high demand from Singapore.

Abstract
Building good human capital can be based on how the Education scheme and sustainable Long-term programs are built. In entering current market share, business organizations face a diverse work environment with sustainable change and development and with the speed to respond to change effectively. In addition, for Indonesia with its diversity, it has a duty to create competitive advantage based on the existence of quality human resources that contribute to the creation of organizational sustainability in the trade sector. The emergence of a series of challenges in the knowledge economy has had a clear reflection on business organizations that have begun to look for new mechanisms to compete and ensure their existence in the business world. Therefore, the importance of the concept of competitive advantage, based on human resources, is a requirement needed to face challenges faced by local, regional or international organizations (Global Institute, 2011). competitive advantage based on human resources is the main producer of new ideas, development of old ideas, and contributions to help in the ability of organizations to expand their current market share and maximize value. On the other hand, placing someone in the right position is also an optimization in productivity. This study aims to see the impact of competitive advantage through investment in intellectual capital and regional specificity as one of the elements in the creation of sustainable organizations in the export sector. Simple and multiple regression is used for data analysis and testing the hypothesis of this study. This research has achieved a series of results reinforced by previous studies in this field such as: Competitive advantage based on different capital is the optimal method that must be used because it contributes to the optimal investment of human resources. This leads to optimal organizational sustainability for companies in various fields and also contributes to the achievement of the companys mission and vision in the future.

Abstract
Students mathematical connection is one of ability that students must have. However, one of the reasons that students mathematical connection is still poor is the lack of enthusiasm of students while learning mathematics, and learning that does not give flexibility to students to empower the brain. Therefore, it is necessary to have an alternative learning that can develop students mathematical connection. This study used a quasi-experimental method. The subject in this research was 49 students from 3 classes in one of junior high schools, in Subang, West Java, selected by applying purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were mathematical connection test and attitude scale. Based on the results it was concluded that that there is a significant difference between enhancing students mathematical connection who are learning by brain-based learning model with students who learn by expository learning model.

Abstract
The era of the industrial revolution requires extra handling if you want to compete well in it. In focusing on determining the right policy, it certainly requires an indicator that is able to answer the needs of my policy. The need that the Indonesian government usually wants is spatial mapping, given that Indonesia has a high heterogeneous level. In entering the era of industrial revolution, the role of technology is certainly undeniable, thus it is necessary to have indicators to illustrate how ready Indonesia is to navigate the waves of technology. The strategy that can be combined with technological progress is the diversity of Indonesia itself. With the optimization of specialization and regional comparative advantage can trigger synergies that can be used as a basis in competing in the international trade market. Therefore, there needs to be an analysis of the effects of technology combined with specialization and regional comparative advantage of Indonesia. This can help in analyzing productivity or even other trading problems. Guided by the establishment of a competitiveness index and by utilizing spatial panel data modeling, this study is able to map the direct and indirect effects of these variables on an area. On the other hand, it can be seen how indicators improve competitiveness and not just trading volume.

Abstract
Nowadays, one health awareness in the global value chain is increasing. Since, the threat of global occurrence of zoonotic diseases, and pathogens is higher due to global trade. Therefore, the trend of global food trade is driven by food security, sustainable agriculture, and healthy nutrition to foster the long-lasting well-being of the human population. However, food control and biosecurity as proactive and dynamic strategies were not having a clear aim between supporting producers or safeguarding consumers. These aims had a trade-off in policy impact resulting in possible lapses in food production and economic chaos. This paper aimed to describe the food control and biosecurity policy in the global value chain and its impact on global trade. We reviewed the literature on zoonotic diseases, and pathogens related to food production, biosecurity strategies and practices. Then, a comparative analysis was employed collated with the value chain governance to match its impact on supporting producers or safeguarding consumers. The results show that food control operational designs were inherently supported by biosecurity procedures. Moreover, the international regimes drove awareness, technical capacity and its impact on the policy dynamic in the global trade. The policy in Indonesia concerned more to support producers competitiveness in the global trade, while safeguarding consumers had less attention. This paper concluded that a more balanced policy is needed to implement food control and biosecurity in the global value chain.

Abstract
Indonesia economic resilience is in a vulnerable condition amid the high global economic challenges. For this reason, there is a need for a strategy to improve the economy sustainably, one of which is through increasing and stabilizing exports. However, so far the Indonesian export market has only been concentrated in the main destination countries (traditional countries) such as the United States, Japan and the European Union, which causes export performance to be unstable due to the economic shocks experienced by these destination countries. This happened in rubber tire products, from 2001-2016 exports increased but tended to be unstable. So that to increase and stabilize rubber tire exports, we can do market expansion (diversification) to potentially non-traditional countries (besides the main export destination countries). The study aims to identify non-traditional countries that have the potential to diversify the export market of rubber tire derivative products using the Export Product Dynamic (EPD) analysis and analyze the variables that affect rubber tire exports to non-traditional countries in 2001-2016 using panel data regression. The results showed that potential non-traditional countries for the diversification of the car tire export market were Brazil, the Philippines, Canada, Mexico and Egypt, for bus tires and lorries were the Philippines and Mexico, while bicycle tires were the Philippines and Egypt. Variable GDP per capita, export prices of rubber tires and economic distance affect the export volume of rubber tires. While the real exchange rate and the export volume of rubber tires apart from Indonesia have no effect.

Abstract
Over the past decade, there have been fluctuations in the global price of CPO. These variations in global CPO price are likely to affect the local CPO price as well. To overcome this, the Indonesian government has implemented an export tax on CPO in order to maintain stability in the business of the CPO producers. The aims of this research are to assess the market integration and the price transmission between the international CPO market and the domestic CPO market of Indonesia as well as the effects of the Indonesian export tax on the domestic and on the international prices. The analysis uses weekly prices and estimation of Error Correction Model as an analysis method. The results of analysis show that the domestic CPO market of Indonesia is integrated with the international market. The domestic CPO market in Indonesia responds to price fluctuations in international market. In addition, although the imposition of the export tax of CPO in Indonesia slightly reduces instability of the domestic CPO price, the overall influence is still small. It can be inferred that the policy is effective to increase government revenue as a fiscal instrument at the expanse of oil palm farmers and producers of CPO. In practice, even though the policy maker has attempted to reduce the dependency of the Indonesian CPO producers on the world market by creating a demand market, but the Indonesian government still need to optimize the policy under the new format of the export tax of CPO.

Abstract
The GVC analysis which was previously called global commodity chain analysis was first developed to analyze trends in global manufacturing, and specifically to increase the role of retailers and brands in the name of companies in creating global production, distribution and marketing networks. In this study the authors analyzed the concept of glocalization on the global value chain in North Sumatra. The glocalization variables in this study were built on the basis of the hegemonic landscape in which there are cultural elements given by certain coffee brands and consumer experience of coffee. Conditions in North Sumatra, the global coffee shop is still the flagship coffee shop since the second wave of coffee industry to date. When anti-hegemonic discourse began to emerge in the third wave coffee industry, local coffee shops began to compete with global coffee brands through aesthetic diversity, communal solidarity, social values and adaptation to local coffee beans. The third wave coffee businessmen began to build their businesses by educating consumers to value local coffee shops as non-commercial environments where consumers are expected to be able to enjoy the servicescape of local coffee shops as a social and aesthetic interaction. However, based on the research results, the tendency for glocalization in North Sumatra is still in the form of creative consumption. The inconsistency of glocalization of the global value chain is also caused by global brands still embedded in consumer social networks and becoming integrated into the social world of consumers. The significance of this study is also due to the fact that it is still contradicted whether glocal and global studies are different studies or the same form of study.

Abstract
A countrys sophistication of production and exports is important for economic transformation. Sophisticated production is generally associated with higher productivity, which in turn can lead to higher income and improved welfare. Skills improvement is a key channel through which export can affect production, export sophistication, and income. This paper aims to examine the effect of exports to developed countries on the export sophistication of ASEAN 5 countries and relatively shows Indonesias position towards other ASEAN 5 countries in terms of export sophistication. The method we used is fixed effect panel data model by using the UNCTAD advanced country diversification index as dependent variable, which measures the similarity of exports with exports of developed countries. Empirical results show that exports to developed countries are associated with higher export sophistication. The export sophistication of Indonesia is relatively low compared to other ASEAN 5 countries, which is still below Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. This paper suggests that the Indonesian government needs to encourage Indonesian exporters to increase exports to developed countries in order to enhance their productivity and product quality, which in turn will increase Indonesias exports.

Abstract
The information and communication technology revolution has led to the adoption of technologies such as the internet for generating value for businesses. However, little is known about the role of e-commerce in value co-creation initiatives for agri-food SMEs and specifically its role in the collaboration of business actors and customers where the overall objective of generating benefits from the exchange process. This study addresses this gap. The transformation of fresh produce marketing in Indonesia, from a product-focused approach towards a customer-centric approach, was selected to explore value co-creation and its potential benefits, including the exchange of tangible resources, intangible resources and knowledge. The findings illustrate that e-commerce involves fewer intermediaries in the food chain by facilitating the engagement of multiple stakeholders and provides a solution to address market needs through collaboration within the agribusiness networks. Co-creation via e-commerce channels reveals the benefits for agribusiness actors through economic, cognitive, social and marketing benefits. Benefits of co-creation for consumers include economic, cognitive, social and psychological benefits. The findings provide insights into the co-creation concept in an agri-food context through an online platform for B2B and B2C, that will have a theoretical and practical use for future business and marketing.

Abstract
The discussion of agricultural Export Restriction (ER) at the World Trade Organization (WTO), which is a mechanism to temporarily stop the export of agricultural product that aims to prevent food shortages in exporting countries currently negotiated intensively. However, as a net importer of agricultural products and the member of G33 countries, Indonesia should address the ER policy because it has the potential to increase prices and threaten food security in G33 member countries. This study uses a descriptive qualitative statistical to determine Import Dependency Ratio (IDR) and Self-Sufficiency Ratio (SSR) for five imported main agricultural products by G33 countries such as rice, corn, soybean, wheat, and horticulture then using CGE Analysis using GTAP ver.9 to analyze the impact of agricultural product export restrictions on macroeconomic and sectoral indicators. Based on IDR and SSR it can be concluded that almost all G33 countries rely heavily on wheat imports, as many as 36 countries depend on imported wheat with IDR values varying between 70% - 215%. On the other hand, several G-33 countries have a fairly good level of fulfillment of consumption from domestic production (SSR) / more than 80%. Moreover, based on the GTAP calculation on the Indonesia case, export restrictions will have a negative macroeconomic impact on Indonesia. However, sectorally Indonesian farmers/producers can take advantage of the impact of the export restriction policy as an opportunity to increase production.

Abstract
The price of corn is falling and the global chain feed company were maximizing their profit by a hedging strategy. Even though the corn price was believed to rise by nearly 25% above current levels by the end of this year, its uncertainty was high due to many feed companies was unsure if the price had touched the bottom. Therefore, the hedging strategy will not guarantee positive outcomes. This study used two Indonesia Listed feed company and their performance in hedging strategies. We employed simulation model to analyze the corn price. The results illustrate various corn price impacts on the feed company profit based on their cost-benefit structure. The study shows that the hedging strategy gave a profitable impact if the corn price was ranging between $ 3.50 to $ 3.70. While if the price stable at $ 4.00 in three consecutive weeks then the hedging policy should be considered the new price in combination with a proper inventory policy in order to maintain a higher profit. In the other hand the Indonesian government also has the policy to achieve self-sufficient corn production, but with the corn price is falling the government facing difficulties to fulfil. This concludes that the hedging policy should be evaluated from time to time to ensure its impact on the company in the global value chain.

Abstract
A current change in green economy and sustainability perspective and policy has impacted the crude palm oil price in global trade. The CPO Price and volume of trade have been decreased, trapped and fluctuating in short price range. Thus, Indonesia CPO producers become unfavorable by foreign investment. The paper objective is to investigate the correlation between the daily closing price of CPO and CPO futures with the Stock Prices of Oil Palm Producers that listed in Jakarta Composite Index. We modelled market reaction based On Balance Volume and Bill Williams Market Facilitation Index. The model used the daily closing price of three major CPO producers stock of CPO and CPO futures (CPO F) for the period ranging from 2008 to 2018. Three simulation scenarios were performed to indicates simulated CPO price that give the best investment for CPO Producers Stocks. This study gave information for the policy maker to protect the Indonesian CPO industry.

Abstract
Along with the increasing in demand for air travel, growth of airlines and number of flights paths, Indonesias goal to become a maintenance center for large-scale aircraft needs to be supported by a good competitiveness of the airline maintenance industry. This study aims to identify the impact of import duty exemption on aircraft spare parts on the competitiveness and service export of the Aircraft Maintenance, Reparation, and Overhaul (MRO) industry including factors affected MRO competitiveness. In addition, this study aims to identify the problems encountered during the implemention of the policy, the types of aircratf parts to be exempted and the criterias for products to be eligible for exemption from import duties. The research method used in this study are qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis, Porter five-force model and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The results of the study showed that the import duty exemption policy increased MRO services from 30 percent to 49 percent during 2013-2017. Constraints in implementation are procedures and differences in customs areas where the longest is for bonded zones. Special customs policies for MROs as well as the exemption of import duties for goods related to MROs which 90 percen originating from imports will greatly encourage competitiveness which relies heavily on aircraft down time. The types of goods that need to be exempted from import dutties are consumable and repairable groups in both new and non-new capital goods categories.

Abstract
Family business as the most business practice in the agricultural sector faces a challenge from global business via the Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The purpose of this paper is to provide business strategies that support the competitiveness of the family business in the global value chain. We reviewed related literature on family business and agriculture to describe the challenge and propose strategies that can bridge agricultural family business to become competitive. The study highlighted two challenges, namely labor usage, and capital usage. The amount of labor usage in Indonesia family business was higher than the global business. However, the competitiveness by labor usage was determined by knowledge transfer and farmers cooperation. Thus, the total value of capital usage in Indonesia family business was lower than the global business. The capital usage was driven the competitiveness by social capital reinforcement, capital allocation, and capital availability. In this case, Indonesian family business was found not able to take advantage of capital usage. The study proposed a strategy for the family business was to overcome the threat of labor usage by using its capital usage strength. These findings highlighted the importance of strengthening family business in agriculture sector based on each strength to overcome global trade challenge and take the opportunity from it. This paper may avail governments in drawing up policies for assisting the family business in the agriculture area to get global. It also contributes to the limited source of references literature regarding family business in agriculture in Indonesia.

Abstract
Despite the importance of business succession in a family business, the study with regards its key success factors is often neglected. Moreover, the key success factor before and after entering the global value chain might be different for a family business. The key success factors in succession with regards to the family business in Indonesia were explored to provide lessons that ease the succession process to be more effective in order to participate in a global value chain. This study employed a qualitative study approach with a structured interview to three family businesses involved in the food industry in Bogor, Indonesia. The results clustered key success of business succession into three factors, namely organization, successor, and predecessor. Each key success factor of business succession was associated with different attributes. The attributes of the organization were existence, development, family unity, and sustainability. The attributes of a successor were the commitment, leadership, communication skills, and persistence manner as well. The attributes of a predecessor were commitment, mentoring, persistence, and communication skill. This study found that the important attributes of key success factors were the commitment, leadership and mentoring process. This implies the successor was the main key success factor in business succession for a family business to compete in the global value chain.

Abstract
Slope stability analysis is one of the most critical and important topics in geotechnical engineering and thus various stability chart solutions have been developed to provide quick first assessments of slope stability. Motivated by that, this paper aims to adopt an artificial neural network with the extreme learning machine algorithm to develop a convenient and efficient tool in assessing fill slope stability. The neural network is trained using the solutions from the finite element upper and lower bound limit analysis methods. Because the conventional deterministic approach would ignore the uncertainties in soil properties, this study also uses the same technique to develop a tool that is capable of performing a reliability analysis of fill slope stability. Therefore, the tools developed in this study are capable of providing not only a quick first assessment of fill slope stability but also a reliability assessment of the slope. They can provide information for design, inspection or maintenance judgement.

Abstract
To evaluate the potential of various types of batteries, the study focused on the differences of voltage and stability between two types of batteries, namely dry cell and alkaline batteries. The data needed in this study was the output voltage of each battery obtained using the Zelscope application. The output voltage data was then processed using Gaussian Probability Distribution Theory. From the results of data processing, the average output voltage value and the standard deviation of each type of battery were obtained. The voltage difference between the two types of batteries is seen from the average output voltage value. The difference in stability between two batteries is seen from the standard deviation value, the smaller the standard deviation means the output voltage variation was more homogen which means the battery was more stable. From each type of battery, a graph was made based on the Gaussian probability distribution theory to compare the steepness of each graph. Overall, it can be concluded that alkaline batteries are relatively more potential compared to dry cell batteries.

Abstract
Despite the potency of digital marketing for a business, its potential to increase family business to be a global player is often neglected. Even though the number of the family business in Indonesia is very large. The purpose of this paper is to add existing literature of family business that aims in two ways: first, to provide an empirical study on digital marketing practice that is implemented by family business, and second, to understand digital marketing roles in family business strategy to be a global player and third, to identify its gap in practices. The papers reviewed and concluded past and extant literature using keywords family business and digital marketing. The results found most family businesses had been using websites only to display information about the business. Many features of digital marketing were not being capitalized. The results highlighted the importance of digital marketing for the family business as one of their business strategies in the global market. This study may provide family business to increase their role as a player in the global value chain. It also contributes to the limited source of literature concerning family business in Indonesia.

Abstract
The issue of sexual abused today is quite alarming. Many cases occur not only in big cities, but also throughout the country, including Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. A social rehabilitation center that provides services to Children Associated with Law (ABH) in Lombok, is quite overwhelmed with client problems, especially those related to sexual abused issues among minors. The cases handled are quite complex and varied, such as the high incidence of incest and usually perpetrators of sexual abused are the people closest to the victims. The "Merarik" culture is the habit of "escaping" the bride to marry. This is actually used by many underage children, who love each other. This condition does not support the prevention of sexual abused or the occurrence of early marriage which results in children facing the law. This research is intended to find out 1). What are the causes of the high incidence of sexual abused in Lombok? 2). How to settle incest or "Merarik" cases by the local community, and 3). Who has the role to resolve incest or "Merarik" cases. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques: interviews, documentation studies and focus group discussions. The results showed that: It turned out that incest cases (perpetrators were biological fathers) dominated the problems encountered (as many as 77.78%, 62.5% and 37.5%), respectively in 2016, 2017 and 2018. In addition, cases of early marriage are still found in Lombok, because without careful consideration, underage children who are still dating, because of the "Merarik" end in early marriage. Even though they are actually not yet fit to build a household. The conclusion of this study is that culture also influences the high incidence of sexual violence in Lombok. Boys become perpetrators, and girls become victims of culture and victims of sexual abused from the people closest to them, who should give them protection.
