Abstract
Abstract This article is motivated by the high interest of young people to be involved in dawah activities which have been driven by more senior citizens. Among the many influential mass organizations, Wahdah Islamiyah is a new oasis. This study aimed to determine 1) the roles of youth in the development of Islamiah Wahdah Movement in Makassar City 2) the opportunities and challenges of the youth in the development of the Islamiah Wahdah Movement in Makassar City. The method used in the study was the historical method which was divided into four stages, namely 1) the heuristics, i.e. the activity to gather or to collect the traces in the past, 2) the data criticism, i.e. the method to study the collected data with the purpose of achieving the validity and or the authenticity of the data. 3) the interpretation, i.e. the activity to explain, to analyze and then to draw a conclusion about the matters obtained, which was related to the facts either originated from books or documents of Islamiah Wahdah, 4) historiography, i.e. the steps to present the results of the interpretation of the historical facts and put them into a written form. The research results indicated that the roles of the youth in the development of Islamiah Wahdah Movement were in the scope of the physical activities, such as the assistances in the natural disaster, the care of the corpses, the blood donations, and other social actions, while the policy making is still in the authority of the elders in the Syuro Council. As for the development of the movement, the youth had the opportunities to involve in the technological utilities which were wider than the WI cadres, such as the maximization of the functions of social media (facebook, instagram, twitter, wa, and even websites and youtube). The challenge of the youth were their activities as students, the coming of feminism ideas, and the negative stigma related to WI and other Islamic Social Movement formed by the media.

Abstract
ABSTRACT The glutinous corn production in South Sulawesi needs an improvement in terms of economic aspect, therefore, the added value of the corn production is very important, in which the added value represents a commodity value addition because the commodity undergoes the processing, storage, packaging, and transportation processes in the production process. The research aimed at identifying the value chain related to the glutinous corn processing industry, and calculating the added value obtained by every value chain actor. The research used the qualitative and quantitative descriptive method. The value chain actors description was in line with Porters theory concerning the value chain. There were the main activity and supporting activities of the value chain actors. Samples were selected using the purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques, with the monitoring points starting from the industrial actors because the value chain info source could be found out from the home industry actors. The data were analyzed using the Microsoft excel to analyze the amount of expenditure, revenue, income, added value obtained from every value chain actor. The research result indicates that the industry which carries out the processing from the beginning obtains the higher added value ratio than the industry which does not carry out the processing from the beginning. It is expected that the processing industry carries out the glutinous corn production starting from the beginning stage of processing.

Abstract
Abstract This article is motivated by the decreasing interest of young workers in the agricultural sector so that the average level of education of workers in this sector is much lower than in other sectors. This study aims to describe the role and perceptions of the youth and analyze strategies for developing the role of the youth in the agribusiness sector of Soppeng Regency, South Sulawesi Province. This research was conducted in Soppeng District on March to April 2019. The technique used in determining the sample in this study was snowball sampling. Data collection methods used were in-depth interviews, observations, and FGDs (Focus Group Discussion). The data analysis techniques used in this study were qualitative descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. The youth prefer to be involved in supporting subsystems (private sector, government policy, BUMN, research and development, education, agribusiness infrastructure, credit and trading facilities) rather than in the marketing subsystems, farming, agricultural production, and processing facilities. The perception that the youth have in mind of the agribusiness sector in Soppeng district. The youth who are involved in agriculture sector for 0-2 years tend to be forced and they even consider it as a side job. Whereas, young people who have been involved for 2-7 years have made their profession as their priority. The strategy for developing the role of youth in agriculture in the agribusiness sector is to improve the capabilities of youth by establishing agricultural schools (vocational or campus), developing forums with specialized organizations focused on agriculture, and increasing government escort for the development of innovation technology and regulation of agricultural prices.

Abstract
The integration of a wireless network in a closed-loop control system can provide several benefits such as flexibility, installation, and maintenance. However, the presence of time delay in the network system can reduce the control performance. On the other hand, control signal saturation is also the problem that must be overcome in designing a controller. This study aims to design a DC motor speed control by integrating wireless network in its closed-loop system. This concept is known as the Wireless Networked Control System (WNCS). The network parameter used in this study is focused on the time delay. In the controller side, we use a saturation parameter which usually occurs due to limitations of the input signal. The PI-AW controller is used due to having the ability to overcome the saturation of the control signal. The simulation results show that the PI-AW controller can produce the best responses if compared with PI linear and PI saturated with settling time under 1.5 seconds and overshoot less than 8% for three constant values of time delay. The control signal generated also does not exceed the maximum limit of 12 V.

ABSTRACT Excessive use of pesticides will increase the cost of control, heighten the death of organisms and can reduce environmental quality. This study aimed (1 ) to analyze the behavior of shallot farmers in using pesticides, and its impact on the environment ; (2) to propose the management of the agricultural land in Isonom Mbiasi Village, especially in terms of pesticide uses and the handling of packaging. The research was conducted in Tanah Miring Sub-District, Merauke Regency. The samples were chosen using the qualitative and quantitative methods. The primary data were collected through observation interviews and questionnaires, while the secondary data were obtained from evidences, notes orreports. The research results indicated that the knowledge aspect of the 27 respondents about the use of pesticides was very good (97%) The farmers knowledge would become more effective if their participation to join in the meeting activities done by the Government Institutes about the cultivation of the red onions, the farmers would understand better how to use pesticides and would understand the dangers of using pesticides either to the consumers or to environment. The behavior of the farmers was also good (98%), but the use of registered and not expired pesticides was permitted were incompatible with the regulation because they argued saying that the expired pesticides could still be used as long as the packing was not damaged and that even the expired Pesticides could still increase the production. The farmersaction to protect their bodies by putting on only long-armed shirts and short pants was caused by their lack knowledge that they did not know the true function of the uses of the overall protection clothes.

Abstract
Sungkai wood (Peronema canescens Jack) is one of prominent materials used for production of furniture and other decorative elements in Kalimantan and Sumatra due to its beautiful fiber and color, and also its fairly smooth texture. Since of massive production, the waste resulted from the processing of sungkai wood are very abundant. Utilization of sawdust or wood shavings of sungkai still generates a relatively low value. In order to increase the value of sawdust and wood shavings of sungkai, this research was aimed to identify the characteristics and performance of bio-briquette produced from the sawdust and wood shaving of sungkai. This research was performed by evaluating the characteristics and performance of bio-briquettes produced from three concentrations (10%, 15%, and 20%) of glue material made from tapioca starch. The results show that, except of the volatile matter, all parameters of the characteristics and performance of the tested briquettes comply with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) of briquette product. The characteristics and performance of the tested briquettes at the lowest levels are follows: water content (4.52%; SNI: max 8%), ash content (4.36%; SNI: max: 8%), volatile matter (42%; SNI max: 15%), density (0.46 g/cm3; SNI: 0.45-0.85 g/cm3), combustion time (0.14 g/min), ignition time (2.5 second/g), and calorific value (5.889 kcal/kg; SNI: min 5000 kcal/kg). It requires optimization on the carbonization process in order to reduce the volatile matter.

Abstract
The Government of Indonesia are encouraging investments in renewable energy based power plants in Indonesia, including wind power plants (WPPs). Two large WPPs in the Southern Sulawesi interconnected power system are Sidrap WPPs and Jeneponto WPPs. Both Sidrap WPP and Jeneponto WPP are the largest WPPs in Indonesia and they account for significant contribution for the Southern Sulawesi power generation mix. Considering the intermittency characteristics of WPPs and system-s failure probability, therefore it is essential to assess the system-s stability after their integration. This work evaluates the frequency stability of the Southern Sulawesi interconnected power system with the integration of both Sidrap WPPs and Jeneponto WPPs.

Abstract

Abstract
Expansive soils have proved to be problematic to most Civil Engineering structures. Several researchers have tried to look for different materials which can alter the properties of these poor soils, and among them are lime and cement, which are expensive. Considering the vast quantities of sawdust produced in woodwork departments, they can be used as a secondary stabiliser, thus leading to sustainable technologies. Sawdust not only acts as a cheap stabiliser but also reduces the problem of environmental pollution caused by its poor disposal. This paper examines the geotechnical properties of expansive soil stabilised by Keruing sawdust. The sawdust was used as partial replacement of soil in the ratio of 0, 3, 5, and 7% by the dry soil weight. The investigation was done by conducting laboratory tests on both stabilised and non-stabilized soils. The results showed that Keruing sawdust significantly improved the geotechnical properties of the soil by reducing the plasticity index from 64% to 36% at 0% and 7% sawdust, respectively. The unconfined compressive strength and California Bearing Ratio also improved at 3% sawdust + 97% soil. It was concluded that Keruing sawdust, a waste material could be used as a cheap additive to the expansive soils.

Abstract
This study attempts to investigate whether gender and academic achievement were significant to predict apology response strategies (positive or negative) used by EFL graduates. Thirty fresh graduates, 18 females and 12 males, from an English Department of a state university in Indonesia were selected as the participants. Their academic achievement was simply derived from their GPAs which then were grouped into three levels of low, middle, high categories. The instrument used was Discourse Completion Task (DCT) which was used as scenario. The participants were asked to answer the DCT orally through interview. The DCT results were then classified into two categories of positive FTAs (Acceptance and Acknowledgement) and negative FTAs (Evasion and Rejection). The three variables were then analysed by using multiple linear regression technique with SPSS. The results were quite elaborate. Most of the females participants tend to use positive FTAs when responding to apologies; however, the number of number of males who apply the positive FTAs was also significant. Similarly for the academic achievement, students with high GPA do not necessarily employ positive FTAs and vice versa. To conclude, neither gender nor academic achievement can be considered as the significant predicators of apology response strategies used by the participants.

Abstract
Coral reefs ecosystem have great value in terms of economy, culture, and biology for the global society and the most productive and diverse biological ecosystem in the world (Wilkinson, 2001). Earth observation from space so called remote sensing technology by using high-resolution Satellite, offers powerful capabilities for understanding, forecasting, managing, monitoring and decision making about coral reefs ecosystem. This study focuses on the comparison analisys between Object Base and Pixel Base image classifications of remote sensing imagery for Mapping Coral Reef Geomorphic Zones in the Karimunjawa National Park. The accuracy of each method was assessed using reference data sets derived from high-resolution satellite images, aerial photograph and field investigation. The accuracy of geomorphology zone mapping used Object Base Classification technique indicates that the overall accuracy (OA) was 88,62%. while the pixel-based classification produce the low overall accuracy was 73%. This research suggest that the object-based technique could be a promise approach for mapping coral reef geomorphic zones, where the information obtained from this research was more accurate. In paper, we observed that the object-based technique shows higher accuracy in classification process than the pixel-based technique because pixel based can-t satisfy the high resolution satellite data properties and it produced data redundancy.

Abstract
The younger generation is the backbone of the nation who are shaped to continue the nation-s noble ideals in aim of achieving prosperity and a better life. Recently, as a result of the development of the times, many cases of violence and deviant behavior by children and adolescents have occurred. Society and culture were contaminated by changing lifestyles, the development of technology, the demands and needs of the times, as well as shifting morals have morally bankrupted the nations children; many of which were irrevocably damaged or lost. Various adolescent behavioral symptoms have featured prominently in the community; some of these behaviors are even criminal. Not only teenagers, but children are also exposed and have become perpetrators of criminal acts. The community itself has been anxious facing these symptoms. So far the biggest concern, which is also the center of attention of many people, is the acts of violence committed young children; this is already a serious situation that needs to be addressed immediately. Another more worrying thing is the age of the perpetrators of criminal acts are increasingly younger. Consequently, efforts need to be undertaken to overcome this. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of peer counselors and a pilot program implementation for Posyandu teenagers in the District of the Kraton, including the planning and implementation of health promotion programs by the Kraton psychologists in the primary healthcare setting aimed at assisting offenders and victims in cases involving children and teenagers in the field. This study used a qualitative approach with case analysis method and compared the changes for patients that occurred after the program compared to the baseline, as well as chronicling the researcher-s field experience. Planning efforts for PKPR with the peer counselor program is still in progress and advocacy efforts have been completed. Suggestions from this research program include: maximizing maintaining peer counselors, and pilot programs in the area of juvenile Posyandu shared across sectors and effective programs of peer counselors and the presence of posyandu adolescents are indeed instrumental in improving the mental health of children and adolescents. Such programs are still scarce in Indonesia, which prompts the researchers to propose a number of possible interventions to be considered as one way to save the future generations.

In the Indonesian political constellation before general election, there is interesting one becoming commodity of politics. That is thought of puritanism and Islamic culturalism. Issues related to radical puritant and syncretism-culturalist. It is worthy to sell in winning the votes. Moreover, a series of incidents of violence in religion are part of the history of the life of the nation and state. Bombings in the Church and Police headquarters have involved Islamic activists in the name of jihad. Here the issue of religion becomes intertwined with politics. The question is whether the notion of religion gives birth to political affiliation or otherwise political affiliation that leads to religious understanding? Data taken from social media ahead of the 2019 election after tabulated will be analyzed by linguistic analysis. The meaning of the sign of language in the dialectic of puritan Islam and cultural Islam will be categorized in the types of meanings of language. From here it will analyze the development of the meaning of the language and the factors that influence it.
