Abstract
Language spent main common field for communication, for that reason it is important that communication skills take part of learning a language. Speaking is being a part of English lessons in schools today. However, to make students speak in English language is not always easy and there can be several different reasons why this is happened. One possible reason is namely speaking anxiety and its influence on second language acquisition. The study-s purpose is to analyze the students- speaking anxiety when they are in the speaking session. The study is mainly based on literature but also contains an interview with the teacher. It is found that speaking anxiety inhibits students from speaking which has a negative effect on their oral skills. The study also shows that speaking anxiety is not a prioritized problem in schools, a reason can be that speaking anxiety is not seen as a problem concerning language teaching since it can be considered as a social difficulty. In order to encourage speaking in a classroom it is important to strive for a pleasant atmosphere where every student can feel relaxed and motivated to communicate orally.

Abstract
The weakness of character content in the development of education in Indonesia today has an impact on various aspects and our lives. Basically, education is the earlier part of efforts to establish human identity and makes him better, honest, and dignified, in fact only be at the level of concepts and ideals. The outcomes of education cannot provide educational impact much better, either personally or collectively, particularly related to attitude and mentality of this nation which are still terms with corruption, dishonesty, fight, and other social vices. Based on the International transparency data in 2009, Indonesia was in the first position of the most corrupt countries in Southeast Asia, while the result of the survey that also reported by International Transparency 2011 to 2013, Indonesia has included the top ten most corrupt countries in the world, whereas the data in 2009, Indonesia still ranks 111 out of 180 countries. This indicates that our country is still a very fragile country of aspect of integrity education, lack of honesty and responsibility. Classifying the parties involved in several cases of corruption, in fact most of them actually have a higher education, or higher education outcomes. Obviously this condition is very counter-productive to the purpose of education both philosophically and according to Law No. 20 of 2003 on National Education System, which is the outline of the nation wants to generate the nation generations who are good character, honest, smart, independent, creative, responsible, and democratic.

Abstract
Each language has its own uniqueness. English is unique as compared with Bahasa Indonesia which has no tense system. These languages can be used to academically convey meanings. The position of English in Indonesia is at the expanding circle (Kirkpatrick, 2007), that is communicated as a foreign language. From the viewpoint of teaching and learning, the position of Indonesia is of the advantage. The uniqueness of Bahasa Indonesia makes the Indonesians learning English get much exposure to the target language, that is English. The teacher should be able to make the learners do a lot of practice in using English since they mostly speak their vernacular or their national language outside the classrooms (Wiyono: 2017). The learner-centered teaching process is supposed to be able to solve the above problem because there is a lot of opportunity for a teacher to let the learners be exposed to the language they are learning. This means that the learners get a lot of practice and actively participate in the teaching learning process. This is in line with Nunan (1998: 2) who states that the difference between the teacher-centered and leaner- centered teaching is that the latter makes learners be involved in the content related to the curriculum. The teacher is not the only source. He is a facilitator and is only one of the sources. (Suparno: 2005)

Abstract
English language competence plays an importance role for social and economic sectors. As one of required skill for the market demands, English test is often conducted to measure one-s ability for both active and passive English language skills. Recent studies have found that the commonest international tests are considered unnecessary for non-native English countries- pedagogical background. Therefore, Standardized Test of Academic English Proficiency Test (STAcEP) is designed to fill the gaps between the need of English language assessment and Indonesian socio-educational curriculum. Some previous studies of STAcEP research has focused on the test validity and reliability. However, study of learners- attitude has not been conducted to evaluate to what extent the test is significantly correlated with their engagement with the test. This study aims to investigate learners- attitude towards the implementation of STAcEP test instrument. In order to report accurately learners- attitudes, a learner engagement of test participation questionnaire is electronically distributed to 750 participants. Thus, the data are analyzed qualitatively and presented according to learners- attitude indicators: self-concept, learning strategies, and engagement. The results revealed that various responds of the aforementioned indicators have been performed by the learners. Moreover, the finding of the study is expected to be a framework for STAcEP test preparation classes.
